ESMERALDA--This streetwise gypsy is a wonderful heroine. She's brave and kind, and can look beyond mere appearances. Her song is beautiful, as well as her character. Her cloud of black hair, emerald eyes, and gypsy costumes are wonderfully drawn. She's a little tougher than the usual heroine, but she's got a sense of humor, too. Esmeralda is, in one word, FEARLESS. My favorite line--"Hmm, let's see, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, so there's ten of you and one of me. What's a poor girl to do?"
