How do I tell my family I'm emo?

I used to get pissed when I was called "emo." But now, its weird I feel stronger and proud to be emo. I AM emo AND IM PROUD OF IT!

I am going to work my coração up to tell my mom, I am scared. Will she think im different? She thinks im "goth". So does the rest of my family. My family think emos always cut all the time. NOT ALWAYS!
My mom has told me I was emo kidding but, I want to tell her the truth. Any help? <3
