Wow. This game. Where do I start?!
Well, a short summary of Skyrim would be: Massive, Immersive, Addictive, Full of quality content, involving, can be as easy or as challenging as you like, gritty, realistic (for fantasy), magical, full of exploration and discovery. Is there a of how many commas I can use because oh boy, I could just keep going & going.
Here is the true review:
Skyrim is the ultimate fantasia RPG and is arguably the best Role-playing game ever. It may have a few flaws, bugs & glitches, but the large (and I mean LARGE) majority of the game is truly breath-taking!
*Visuals - While this game was released back in 2011, the visuals were (and still are) great in bringing a realistic feel to a fantasia world. Although there are some low resolution textures, the no geral, global look of the game is VERY well done. On the PC (with mods) the graphics can be easily upgraded for the current generation of gaming.
*Gameplay - Although many people criticise the seemingly 'clunky combat,' I think it gives a really gritty and realistic feel which fits right in with the tough barbarian-esque atmosphere. The only 'clunky' combat that I have experienced is with two-handed weapons (Great Swords & Warhammers). Weapons like regular swords, daggers & bows don't feel clunky at all but they still feel realistic. Magic is very enjoyable to use. When you're not spraying your enemies' face with flames or casting a ball of light inside a cave, you're turning enemies against each other with a powerful conjured Daedra Lord attacking them all whilst invisible and unseen. You can even use staves if your magicka is low or you can wield a spell in one hand with a staff in another. Oh, I forgot to mention; you can dual-wield! Dual-wielding is when you have a sword in one hand and a spell in the other. Or, you can even wield two swords as well as dual-casting spells for a mais powerful effect.
Overall, I think the combat is fun, rewarding & enjoyable (especially on higher difficulties).
The rest of the gameplay mechanics are very well done; especially when it comes to crafting, collecting loot, harvesting etc.
*Levelling - The levelling system in the game is simple yet effective (yes, I'm talking about vanilla). The mais you use a certain skill, the better you will get a it. It is as simple as that. For example: If you're a mage and you just start using flames, it won't do much damage at all. But the mais you use them (or any other spell in that particular school) the mais your Destruction skill increases.
When you've levelled a skill (or several skills) enough times, you will 'Level Up' your character's level. For example, if you're level 1 and you increase your destruction & one-handed skills a few times, your character's progression bar will glow and you can level up your character. The levelling up process consists of choosing either Health, Magicka or Stamina. These three attributes are your main buffs in the game. While Health is obvious, Stamina increases the duration at which you can sprint as well as perform power-attacks. It even increases your carry-weight which increases the amount of items you can carry. Magicka increases the duration of your spells as well as allowing you to cast mais advanced spells.
#NOTE#
You can find/buy/make jewellery/armor that can give you buffs in certain skills so you don't have to fully rely on perks.
You also get perks. Perks are points that you can use to increase (decrease Magicka cost of spells) your chosen skills' power/damage as well as unlocking new abilities. You must spend your perks sparingly because you only have a limited amount. So choose wisely!
*Crafting - Instead of just buying weapons, armor, potions & encantada gear, you can make them yourself! With a little (or a lot) of skill, you can create extremely powerful weapons, potions & enchantments as well as very protective armor.
Smithing: Is the skill to improve weapons & armor at forges, grindstones & workbenches. A high Smithing skill means that you can forge mais varieties of armor as well as being able to improve them (and the associated weapons) twice as much!
Enchanting: Would you like to absorb the health of your enemies as your own? Set fogo to them with just a touch of your blade? Paralyse them? You can do so much with enchanting. You can enchant both weapons & armor. In order to enchant an item, you need a filled Soul Gem. You can buy soul gems or use the Conjuration spell, 'Soul Trap' on an enemy in order to trap their soul. (The tougher the enemy the mais powerful the soul = mais powerful enchantments)
Weapon enchantments mainly consist of a type of damage buff such as shock, frost, fogo or poison. You can also apply Soul Trap to a weapon in order to easily trap the souls of enemies instead of using te spell.
Armor enchantments consist of effects such as:
*Increase Health/Stamina/Magicka
*Muffle (harder to detect when sneaking)
*Resist frost/shock/fire/poison
*Increasing a certain skill (E.g. one-handed weapons do 25% mais damage or increase heavy armor skill por 10%)
Alchemy: Allows you to make powerful potions & poisons.
Although you find many potions/poisons throughout the world, none can compete with a master Alchemist's skill. For example, a normal poison may do 2 points of health damage for 10 seconds. You can make the same poison of lingering health that does 7 points of health damage for 30 seconds. The equivalent of a health potion would be:
Regular Minor Healing Potion=Restores 25 points of health vs Master Alchemist Health Potion= Restores 100 points of health.
#NOTE#
The in-game potion/poison strengths/types will vary as well as the types/strengths of potions/poisons that you make. All that I'm trying to explain is, your potions & poisons will always be better than any potion that you can buy/loot if you level Alchemy.
*Overall Opinion - While Skyrim was the first RPG that I had ever played, it still remains my all-time favourite. I look up to this masterpiece of a game as it introduced me to my favourite gaming genre. I do amor other types of Role-playing games besides open-world such as dungeon-crawlers (Dark Souls & Legend of Grimrock) and the Witcher.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning & Dragon's Dogma are two other open-world RPGs that I enjoy playing and have spent hours on, but no game has ever given me the total feeling of immersion & depth like Skyrim has.

The central story of the game -- the unwelcome return of the fearsome dragões -- is told in the main quest. As the main character, you're free to mover this quest progressivo, para a frente at any pace you like. Feel like developing your education with the mage guild for a dozen hours or so? No problem. Or is it time to indulge in some stealthy assassinations? The main quest will be waiting for you when you are ready.
This system really makes you feel that you are in control of your no geral, global experience in the world of Skyrim. It also gives you meaningful chances to actually role-play, as many of the quests have serious moral and political choices to make.
You also don't have to go it alone. There are many recruitable characters in the game who can help you on your adventures.
