In this topic, everyone can share their ideas of what makes role-playing fun for them and explain the things that they do. I have made a list of some of the things that I do which have been inspired por pages that I will leave links to at the bottom.

#NOTE#
If you're a PC player, please leave some mod suggestions that can help increase people's immersion! :)
(I will suggest some mods below my own 'rules.')

Here are some of my ideas:

- Only make choices and do whatever your character would do. (#•Stay in character no matter what you would do.•#)

- Make a journal to record the major happenings, events & character developments that your character goes through on their adventures.

- Don't fast travel.
(#•You will miss unique locations, encounters, loot & even scenery. You'll even be able to camp outdoors or in an abandoned shack you may find!•#)
*Mods:
•Frostfall (check the 'manage fast travel' in the MCM menu)

- Don't sprint except when in combat.
(#•You'll get very tired very quickly.•#

- Take a quiet stroll in town or in the wilderness occasionally.
(#•It'll be a great opportunity to take in the world around you•#)

- Only 'pay-to-train' in skills that you wouldn't normally partake but would like to get better at (e.g. crafting skills) in in order to enhance immersion.
(#•You wouldn't need training in archery if you're already great at archery, but you would need training in Smithing of you aren't that great and would like to get better•#)

- Eat, Drink & Sleep everyday & night.
*Mods:
•Realistic Needs & Diseases
•iNeed
•Total Realism: Basic Needs
•Imp's mais Complex Needs

- Don't hoard comida
(#•It will only go stale/rotten•#)
*Mods:
•Realistic Needs & Diseases (enable the 'Food Spoilage' option in the MCM)

- Try to avoid traveling at night.
(#•Too dark without torch/lantern & extra dangerous.•#)
*Mods:
•Climates of Tamriel (Darker nights module)

- Read books that you may find interesting.
(#•You should at least read one page and see if you're interested to continue.•#)

- Don't swim or sleep with armour & weapons equipped.
(#•Put them inside a cupboard in your room/house and/or put comfortable clothes on instead.•#)

- Walk mais casually in towns/cities.
(#•There's no need to rush. Who else runs around like a loony?•#)
*Mods:
•Realistic Humanoid Movement Speed

- Have a realistic carry amount.
(#•Don't carry 3 swords, 2 shields or 4 armour types etc.•#)
*Mods:
•EK Limited Items
•Realistic Carry-weight
•Bandoiler Bags & Pouches

- When cooking/baking, make sure you wait for it to finish cooking/baking
(#•Cooking & baking takes time.•#)

- Reward/pay someone if they do a good deed for you.
(#•Pay your hireling/follower $___ gold pieces every now & then and/or give them a jewel/piece of jewellery of some sort.•#)

- Crafting, cooking, skinning, drinking & eating takes time.
(#•Do something else whilst waiting for that weapon/armor/ingot to cool down and mold. make sure you wait for a meal to cook and sit at a mesa, tabela and look around while eating.•#)
*Mods:
•Total Realism: Basic Needs
•Realistic Needs & Diseases
•iNeed
(I know that all of these mods have eating/drinking animations)

- Find shelter whilst it's raining, storming or a blizzard
(#•You'll get soaked, freezing and maybe struck por lightning!•#)
*Mods:
•Wet & Cold
•Splash of Rain
•Frostfall
•Climates of Tamriel

- Wear warm clothes in snowy, cold weather. Wear regular clothes/armor in mild weather and wear formal attire/clothing in towns/cities.
*Mods:
•Frostfall
•Wet & Cold
•Winter Is Coming - Cloaks

- Use Common Sense.

E.g:

*Don't use torches in gas-filled areas such as Dwemer Ruins.

*Do NOT swim in icy water.
#Mods:
•Frostfall
•Wet & Cold

*Do go near a fogo or a sunny place to stay warm & dry if you get soaked.
#Mods:
•Frostfall
•Wet & Cold

*Don't loot bodies & misc items whilst there are still enemies trying to kill you.

*Don't take raw/stale/rotten meat from animal corpses.
(#•Who knows how long it's been dead for!•#)

* Don't Save/Load as often.
(#•Don't obsess over saving & carregando in case you make a small mistake. Still save regularly, but if you restrict yourself, you will be mais determined & careful when fighting enemies or if you make a minor mistake. While this is a simple rule, it is a GREAT one for increased immersion!•#)

I will include a simple list of rules below that I made for myself. Feel free to copy & paste it so you can add your own! (It contains some of the rules listed above, but it also contains new ones).

• Don't hoard comida - It will only go stale/rotten

• Don't hoard items (don't take something for the sake of it unless you're going to sell it or it's rare/interesting)

• Don't loot whilst in combat

• Don't collect meat from dead animais (unless you just killed it)

• Don't use dangerous shortcuts/detours (climbing over high mountains, jumping to awkward locations etc)

• Don't change armour during combat (unless you've hidden somewhere and you have time to change)

• Don't equip clothes/armor/weapons if they have blood all over them (at least soak them in a river before you use/wear them)

• Do sit down whilst eating & leitura (or pretend to)

• Do wait for comida to cook

• Do try to walk mais often

• Do the use of your compass & HUD

•Do find shelter to look at your map if it's raining/snowing

•Do carry a hammer so you can improve your gear, a woodcutters axe to chop wood and have a dagger handy to skin animals

•Do use the wait function whenever you:
*Skin/butch an animal - 1hr
*Smelt Ore - 2hrs
*Craft weapons/armor -5hrs
*Cook - 1hr
*Read (depends on book size)
small = 1hr
medium = 2hrs
large = 3/4hrs

•Do feed your pet/horse

Realistic Roleplaying Tips:

Slow down! You don't need to run/jump everywhere. Take a walk in the forests.
If you do run while you travel, take the occasional rest.
Only travel in good weather. If you must travel in poor weather, wear appropriate attire. Consider running to find a camp or cave to wait out the storm.
If you come across a village, don't keep going. Unless you're doing something important, stop by. See how the livestock and townspeople are doing.
Spend nights in inns or taverns. If you are caught in the wilderness at night, stop por the side of the road as if you were camping.
For players...
