Because in the first movie of Twilight he talks to Bella and he is the most hottest guy in the movie. He was thinking about Bella is nice to him and that is why he loves her in the movie. But he still loves her but Jacob takes care of Bella which it is a diffcult thing to take care of someone that is mais careful to Edward but that is in the New Moon movie but I think Edward loves Bella and that is why that he choose her instead of one of the other girls that he will amor but he loves Bella:)
edward choose bella coz bella knew that he was a vampire n knew that one dia he might kill her as their comida is human blood... but then to she told that she loved him....
