Is there still hope for Duncney and Gwent?

Tom McGillis has told us the reason why Duncney and Gwent broke up. They said they didn't want any of the couples to be too lovey dovey or too serious because they believed that it would send the wrong message to children, who the show is amied at. Duncan and Gwen getting together was a network request *shudders*

I say:
First of all, how is Total Drama even a children's show? With all the cussing (which isn't even CENSORED on teletoon), jokes, nakedness, etc.

Anyway, I strongly doubt that what I mentioned above is the real reason why they broke up the two most popular couples because:

1.(not trying to be offensive to DXG fans) So cheating is sending an okay message to kids, who are supposedly the main people who watch the show?
2. If the couples aren't too serious, then what about Geoff and Bridgette? They seem to be very much in love, they've been together since Total Drama Island!
3. Same for Lindsay and Tyler. Although this couple isn't all that serious, but they are still together, even though they've been since season 1.
4. Mike and Zoey seem to be seriously in amor with each other.

Oh yeah, and how they destroyed Trent and Courtney's personalities so that people would wish Duncan and Gwen would get together *shudders* was stupid. I did not buy that!

Why did they choose to drastically change the character of two already liked contestants (Trent and Courtney) por the fandom? It really doesn't make sense, if you ask me.

So, is there hope for Duncney and Gwent?

Of course there is. They wouldn't let us grow so attached to these couples if they were just going to break them up. I strongly believe that Duncan is just trying to get back at Courtney for being bitchy in TDA.

Sometimes I wish that TDI was the only season... considering all these fanwars TDA and TDWT caused. And I can't go across one fórum or link or pesquisa on the TDI club without seeing hate on Courtney.

What do you guys think?

PrincessVandal I do agree what you said. Based on this, I do believe that there's definitely still a chance that both couples could get back together, that is if they fix things back to the way it was.

joyfullness101 ^Yeah, I know! Things should go back to the way they were in TDI! TD seems to be getting a whole lot less realistic, because in season 4 with all the mutated animals and stuff. It's like, I watch one episode of TDI and one episode of TDWT (with that stupid love triangle) and I can't help but think how much things have changed. and definitely NOT for the better.

PrincessVandal I know. I haven't even seen season 4, and I know how things have drastically changed.

joyfullness101 Well, season 4 isn't all that bad, it's not as good as the first season, though. And man, I hope this club gets more lively during Total Drama All Stars.

GaiaCourtney99 I don't like TDROTI at all. Sincerely, Joy, I've never read an opinion more beutiful than yours. I do agree with you. Congratulations! But if Duncney's return back is sure, it isn't so for Gwent. Sorry, I know it's sad and bad, but finally I think that Gwen and Trent won't return together back. What a pity!

dynamite1300 Yeah I totally agree. I really hope things will return to the way they were in TDI. It was wrong how they broked up DXC and for what? I think they just wanted more drama but it would still be better if they wouldnt broke them up. Oh and I relly dont like how they changed Courtney and Trent.

court7 You are totally right espacially about Bridgette and Geoff and the perfect "example for Kids " is not cheating.... So, I do agree with all what you said.

ZeldaZonk You're completely right! I think that total drama producers should really think more about that....

JuviePrincess I honestly believe that if they wanted more "drama" breaking up dxc was sure as hell not a good way to get it. If anything that created a lot of hate regarding the viewers. Yes, Duncan and Gwen are somewhat similar but that's the thing....SIMILAR COUPLES ARE NOT INTERESTING! DxC has always kept me like on the edge of my seat cuz they were so different and i LOVED it. It's so classic bad boy good girl thing. It's awesome. Duncan and Gwen....what kind of interesting episode can you make with that? Also!! being a child of divorced parents (my dad cheated) it creates so much hate. Like I hate my dad for doing that to my mom and people are gonna hate duncan for it. Also.... SO NOT A GOOD MESSAGE! Running around when you're seeing someone no matter how annoying or bossy they are is COMPLETELY and UTTERLY WRONG!!......sorry about my rant. lol

totalydramatic I think Gwent was so cute together, you know the goth girl and the guitar boy, soooo cute!!!! But your right they made Trent an over obsessive freak! You know what, I am a total supporter of Duncney and all I want is Scortney to get together and Duncan get jealous, them break up, and then Duncney to get back together!!

puchungis20 I completely agree I mean yeah people were happy that Duncan and Gwen got together but it sits a bad example because one, yeah making your best friend feel like crap when you kiss her boyfriend and don't tell her about it yeah what a great example and how dating someone that is like almost your reflection is a good and healthy relationship too like are you kidding me? That's boring and Courtney's relationship with Duncan had a lot of excitement and the love/hate and it just pisses me off how they made Courtney such a b*tch and Trent into a pyscho path yeah great examples
