Now before anyone of the obsessed 10th doctor attack me, let me make it clear that I amor the 10th doctor very much but there are many reasons why he’s my least favorito doctor, so I hope be open minded and see if you agree with me or not.
He acts too ideal too perfect, too good he’s like the hero not the anti – hero (like 9th & 11th), like in the doctor daughter, he judged his daughter for being a soldier and not caring about anything but winning the war he actually looked down at her and judged her for defending which she was born/made/created to believe in her DNA it made him look/sound like such a dough bag considering he did the same thing and worse than her, he didn’t even give her chance, it took donna, and jenny finally changing her mind for him to accept her, it feels like he thinks he’s better than them (yes 9 & 11 always saw themselves as smarter than humans because he/they is/are) but they never idolized themselves as being better person than humans unlike 10th doctor, and as much as I amor rose & doctor (my first couple in DW) and I understand the pain the doctor was going through in S3, but he still kind of used Martha’s crush for him.
What really annoyed me was in S3 when he encountered the Daleks, he actually tried to help a Dalek and not just any Dalek but one the 3 generals, and don’t tell me he was helping a reformed or new god Dalek blah blah blah….. a Dalek is a Dalek no matter what, I’m sorry but it doesn’t matter what that one Dalek is new and changing or whatever he’s still the SWORN ENEMY of the doctor he’s number one enemy of all the things he faced in his life he’s the reason the doctor blew up his own plant for god sake, it doesn’t matter that one of them is trying to change, no-one in the universe human or alien would ever have that forgiveness or compassion no one, it’s unrealistic at all to help the enemy that you have been fighting most of your life, and is the reason you kill your own race, not even a thing that a similar to it, it was too idealistic too UNREAL and I hated it so much, I mean how could he you guys do realize that he was willing to give dead bodies to a new race of Dalek right?? Just ponder that idea for a moment his SWORN enemy the thing the doctor HATES mais than anything ever was giving them a chance, you guys do realize the doctor was trying to help/giving a chance to a Dalek that took over a human being right??
Also in S4 when 10th two killed all the Dalek, 10th doctor yelled at him and judged him for killing the Daleks, I’m sorry but what was supposed to happen? What he supposed to do exactly say “pretty please put back earth to its real/right estrela line or whatever, and please stop attacking and killing the defenseless humans” what 10th two did was the right and the only action to be taken against the Daleks he and the doctor Donna saved the earth. The way 9th & 11th doctor reacted to Dalek is the realistic reaction.
I also HATED how he was so anti armas and judged and looked down on the humans who used guns, I loved that Martha stood up to him and told him that he just fix and leaves he never has to deal with it not really, the human race has to protect and deafened its self por the only way they have and every way possible, yes I agree with Harriet Jones did in the natal invasion was wrong (and a little bit right because that way she made sure they never ever attack earth ever again) but that doesn’t mean she was wrong not to be prepared and ready to protect and defend the earth the UNIT is good for the earth they just need mais guidance, potions that’s all.
Now I came to the final two big issues that I ruined the 10th for me, which is the episode with that scientist /astronauts live when she was supposed to die he played god, I mean even a freaking Dalek didn’t kill her so he wouldn’t mess with her future because her future is too important to change it, a freaking Dalek is better than the doctor , a Dalek did not dare and change that future, a Dalek with no emotions not morality no principles except killing without any mercy but did not dare interfere in her future, that was a low below, a soco in the face at that moment a Dalek was better than the doctor.
The segundo issue is the last episode of S4, where the doctor actually started crying about the fact he’s going to die , I think it was too much drama I mean 9th didn’t make such a fess about it he said his goodbye with a smile on his face when he regenerated, the fact that he sat and cried about the fact he was “dying”, I mean he knew he would regenerate put he made such a big deal about him dying, I mean he made Donnas’ grandfather tell him to just let him die and save his own skin.
I also kind of disliked that he always asks who the UNIT brought as an expert because he knows he’s the expert it obvious, and for him to just play dumb and ask kind of bothered me a little (9 & 11) never did that they have the confidence to say yes I’m the expert now let’s get things done he (9 & 11) doesn’t need someone to boast up his confidence.
So that’s why he’s my least favorito doctor he’s too human too inelastic, it made feel like the human race can’t be as “good” as him, I mean it’s like he didn’t have any negatives which unrealistic. Anyways these are the things that made him my least favorito doctor please tell me what you think thanks.
