^I guess because he doesn't talk. I don't know why, he's still a more competent and likable sidekick despite that.

anyway, I'm glad Max is finally gone. Pascal is cute, but a bit useless except for the last 10 minutes of the movie. Him or Meeko and Flit maybe, because they're also not necessary characters but are more entertaining at least.

i think pascal is a great company to rapunzel where she's lonely most of the times and a moral and emotional support to her most times. Her best confidante.

Never really was able to enjoy this character much. I'm surprised how many people didn't like Scuttle considering how much he went out of his way to help Ariel. If it weren't for Scuttle, Ariel wouldn't have even known that Eric was marrying Ursula in disguise and he helped stall that wedding until Ariel could intervene. He had funny jokes "Whoa, what a swim!" (after looking through the wrong end of telescope), he never abandoned Ariel and he always tried to do what he could to help out along journeys and rescue attempts... Even if he can't carry a tune.

Louise will be next...Scuttle always acted as if he's the expert on everything Ariel has to say or ask about, whether or not he actually anything about it. Sure, he helped but mostly he looked like one whose help would go in wrong direction because he's not careful enough. So, he wasn't comic, wasn't "that" helpful but maybe he had his intentions right all along.
I find Louise only a tad bit better coz i think his jolly nature, and his love for music was very sweet and maybe helped Tiana loosen a bit.

^That is so true about his help being harmful because he pretends to know more than he actually does. His advice definitely did not help Ariel with the fork and "snarfblat". Although I would say that he was pretty helpful in discovering Ursula disguised and stalling the wedding. You make a good case for Louis. Honestly, I wanted to vote for Mushu but he's attached to Cricket. I never got over being so upset with Mushu for Mulan 2!

^OMG, i have hated Mushu ever since Mulan II. And i so wanted to separate him from Crickee but i didn't, as i didn't for some other groups mentioned. They were mostly together, except in the beginning when Mulan's grandma gives Crickee to her, but at that time, Crickee has very limited role. Honestly, i wasn't sure how to go about whom to put separately and whom to club together. You can say it is a mix of my personal opinions and tried to be considerate of popular ones.
