This is a proof that there is an "Elsa hate".
Though Ariel went to the Sea-witch to become a human, she was very down and then came two eels, persuading her to go to Ursula. And after all she realised her mistakes and apologised to her dad. She understood for what she did was wrong.
At least Aurora has responsibility toward her duty. After the fairies told her that she is a princess, she can be brought home though very brokenhearted.
She didn't give her false hope she said to her from the beginning "I can't."
She told Anna to leave the kingdom since she was unhappy there and she would have to live in isolation like she does. She was giving her a chance to be free unlike her. As much as she wanted to be with her she told her "Then Leave!" so she could be free and safe.
Aurora didn't say anything because she was probably too weak to fight her fate, Ariel understood what she did was wrong but didn't get to pay for what she did to her family and friends instead her mistakes lead her to live Happily Ever After.
I would go with Elsa, Merida, or Rapunzel. I used to think Ariel was the worst but now I see better qualities in her, even if she's still low on that list for me. Ariel at least is never malicious or bratty (spoiled maybe, but I don't that she's bratty at all). She also shows bravery, and even selflessness at times.
Elsa and Punz are currently tied for worst role model for me, but while I personally dislike Punz a little more, I think objectively, Elsa is he worse role model. I think they are both the worst because they're very selfish, self-justifying of their selfishness, and defiant when it comes down to doing what they personally want (ie "following your heart") vs. following their own moral codes, which both fail to do. However, while Rapunzel's rebellion is more subtle and she does a noble thing in the end, Elsa doesn't really redeem herself ever, and her rebellion is blatantly shoved in your face as a good, even a BEAUTIFUL, empowering thing. That's exactly what Let It Go is about- giving other people the finger because you've decided you're gonna look out for yourself only. Worse, she does all this while seeing herself as this helpless, hated victim when nobody ostracized her ever. Even when Anna tries to get her to come back to fix what she started, Elsa refuses and even blames Anna for HER getting upset. I think Anna could've tried to break it more gently, but she didn't know how that would happen.
She keeps running away/hiding, and if the movie had at least addressed these things as bad it wouldn't be that bad, but they don't- it never once calls this out as wrong. I agree with this: link
