They psychologically scarred her

I really think Merida should have her votes land in the top five, her relationship with her mom in the end is one of the reasons Merida is my favorite.

Ugh. They were awful to her! Even though Cindy and her relationship had short screen time, it was sweet. This one is totally mean. :c

I feel as if they never came clean about anything, that they didn't know each other and were distant ever since the mother died.

Elsa is probably going to leave this round, but I think that the parents honestly thought they were doing well. And the looks on their faces, they both love Elsa very much. Elsa does too, why would she mourn at their death and ask for them not to leave if she hated them? Why would she want them to stay away if she hated them? Though a complex relationship, it's clear that hurt was caused from love.

Sure there was a psychologically scarring layer, and maybe Elsa loved them because they were her only hope, but the parents honestly loved he IMO.

There's not enough development of the relationship. She comes home after being away for 16 years, she's alive, they hug for a bit, then she goes off and dances with her prince... I'm sorry, but I honestly thought there'd be a bigger reunion than that after all that stuff happening!

This relationship just made me sick. In fact I saw a lot of parents just hugging their daughters while they watched this part of Frozen.

We don't see much interaction between them at all. She's been away from them for sixteen years and I thought there would be a bigger reunion between them. All of the other relationships show more interaction. I believe Elsa's parent's loved her and that they were doing the best they could. She cried when she found out they died so I hardly think she didn't love them. When they try to hug her she tells them not to touch her, not because she didn't want them to hug her, but because she was afraid of hurting them.

I agree with Shiki_Otherside and CRaZy_rawR, the relation between Cindy and her father was much better and sweeter

They only keep frightening Elsa. They are, father especially, the one who made Elsa always feels insecure. And Elsa took it too serious that she even did not let them touch her. Wonder why didn't she just touch and accidentally (or on purpose) freeze them? And said, "You should let me have my sweet childhood days."

Anna HUGGED her parents when they were leaving. Elsa BOWED to them. Yes Elsa was scared to freeze them and the fact that they didn't say anything like "It's ok I know you won't hurt us" shows how much of a bad relationship they had.

I think that it should be Pocahontas or Merida, who left because their relation with their parents was because they wanted other things and they didn´t listen to each other. If you remember it wasn´t the King who made Elsa feel terrified of her powers, it was Pabbie (the troll) who told Elsa that her powers could be very dangerous and that it was fear that cause it. I´m not saying that the King doesn´t have fault but the troll could have explained better what it meant. Besides it doesn´t mean that they didn´t love her, Elsa was already afraid because of what had happened to Anna and she isolated herself.
