All of them are amazing but in the others there's not a single song or score I don't like. With Pocahontas I love the score but I don't like the digging song.

The three remaining soundtracks are just beautiful, but I think I'm going to choose The Little Mermaid. It has nice fun songs, but it just personally doesn't move me emotionally the way the soundtracks of Pocahontas and Beauty and the Beast do.

All of these soundtracks at amazing, but The Little Mermaid doesn't have the emotional and fun songs like Pocahontas and Beauty and the Beast does. The Little Mermaid has it's fair share of fun and emotional songs, but they are not as moving as the other two's.

Pocahontas could have stronger songs (especially stronger lyrics).

Under the Sea and Kiss the Girl are the only songs here that I love! While in the other 2 movies I love most of the songs.

Who actually enjoys any of the songs from this? The only memorable song is 'Beauty and the beat Beast' but I'm not even a fan of that!

how is it that Mulan, Aladdin, and Tangled are gone before this one?

@LatinoLollipops: Um.. I do. I actually like ALL of the songs in Beauty and the Beast, there's not one single song I dislike in that movie (maybe with the exception of "Human Again" but it's okay) What's your point? Oh and soundtrack is not just about songs anyway - the score is just magical, especially in the West Wing scene, the Beast's transformation and the prologue scene.

@LatinaLollipops I do, too. There isn't one singly song on this soundtrack I don't like, and the score is very strong. too. I honestly think this is AM and HA best work.

@BB2010, Mulan and Aladdin got voted out in the last two rounds because prof said the scores weren't as good, and that they liked a few songs from those soundtracks, and Tangled was almost eliminated in the first two rounds, but got saved by one vote. It finally got eliminated, because all the other ones were better. Tangled does not have a memorable score and only 2 memorable songs, which aren't even impressive. Pocahontas has mostly great songs except for one (the gold song), and the score is beautiful. Whenever I watch the ending, I am saddened because if the bittersweet ending, and the score does its job beautifully

Just by a little bit... mostly because I love Colors of the Wind quite a bit more than any Little Mermaid song.

@JAyden-G Tangled has a greal score! People just don't bother to pay attention to it, because they expect something up par with their favourite Menken soundtrack, and while Tangled is good, it's not that good...but neither deserves it to be in the bottom of those votings all the time. Not being as good as "Beauty and the beast" doesn't necessarily translate into being medicore or bad.
It's always the same with those countdown. PatF goes first (not that I disagree there, it's by far the weakest soundtrack), then everything which is not from the renaissance era has to be, then Mulan struggles to stay in the countdown (because it's the only non-Menken soundtrack) and towards the end, it's always the same top three. I just wish people would appreciate the classic Disney movies more, just because the music is different it doesn't automatically mean that it is bad. And if there is one thing which is really outstanding about Tangled's soundtrack, then the score! Kingdom dance, waiting for the light, the transformation, those are all great pieces, easily of the same quality as TLM and perhaps even BatB.

The Little Mermaid has the best soundtrack ever, every song is amazing. And Pocahontas follows. Beauty and the Beast has nice songs, but it should leave now.

@Swanpride, I personally do not compare the pre or post renaissance soundtracks to the ones of the renaissance saying "It's not as good as the renaissance soundtracks" or "It deserves to be eliminated because Alan Menken was not the composer", but I know a lot of people are. I happen to like PATF soundtrack far more than Tangled, but I even know PATF is one of the weaker Disney Princess soundtracks. I still think Sleeping Beauty should have been eliminated after Aladdin and Mulan, and the Pre-renaissance films get a lot of judgement. I love the soundtracks of Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and other films of that era, and I like how the music was in those days. With the Tangled and PATF, we will agree to disagree, and that is fine, but I do agree with you about the classic films needing more praise. If I vote in a poll saying the worst ... , I am going to vote for he worst, not my least favourite, and I hope all the others vote that way as well. Now when it comes to the Renaissance bias, most of the people in this club watched those films at a young age, so they are attached to them. It's alright if you like those films the best, but give the classics before some credit as well. Just because it is from the 30s to 80s does not make it bad quality. And even the Disney Company themselves continues to advertise and use the characters from that era for a majority of their products, advertising, etc. And it is only the first four films of the Renaissance as well, even though some post-lion king did better than some Pre-lion king films

@Swanpride, I agree with you on the fact that the classics should get more attention and recognition. Often if a classic movie gets a good rank in a countdown, it's because of luck and nothing else. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty & Snow White all have lovely soundtracks IMO, yeah they're old fashioned but old fashioned doesn't = bad.

It's the one thing I extremely dislike about countdowns on this club. The first 3 classic movies are always in danger of being the first eliminated, sometimes it's warranted and deserved but other times it's clear bias - thank goodness there's 3 classic movies to choose from so the anti vote is split between the 3, and not just one classic movie otherwise that one movie would most likely be eliminated first every time without fail. It was a nice surprise to see that Sleeping Beauty won the impressive animation countdown but, even then, it was about objectivity - on a personal countdown, it sadly won't win.

I totally totally agree with Swanpride and Mongoose09. Totalllly.

Anyways, the only song I like from Pocahontas is Colors of the Wind. None of the others are memorable to me. I love every song on TLM soundtrack, its by far my favorite DP soundtrack.

I was just glad that enough people were objective enough to recognize the quality of the animation in Sleeping Beauty and the work which went into this movie.
I mean I get that one tends to go for the least favourite movie first...after all, there is a reason you like this particular movie less. It would be strange to say "This is my favourite princess, but I HATE her movie" or the other way around. But with some things, I would really wish for a more objective view.
