Someone said Wicked was being looked at as a possible Disney movie. While that isn't true, a Disney artist did draw up a concept art reel for the song "Defying Gravity", which can be seen on her blog link.

They'd make good extended princesses, but only Glinda fits the princess type, and I just have trouble seeing her up there without Elphie.

What is this movie? Never heard of it.

^^It's a Broadway musical based on a book about the life of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, and her relationship with her best friend Glinda.

So basically a concept of The Wizard of Oz?

I SO wish this would happen . . . they could even keep the original voices since it's animated and it won't matter if they've aged (as long as they sound the same).

I would LOVE to see Wicked turned into a Disney film (As long as they don't fuck it up) I've never actually been able to see the musical live, but I've listen to the music and read summaries and read the book and and it sounds amazing.

If I had to choose between Glinda and Elphie, I'd say Elphie, she married/into a prince and she's the main character, it fit better that way. BUT this is only if I had to choose, personally I'd wouldn't like either of them to become princesses, they just wouldn't IMO

I love Wicked!!! Especially Elphaba, she's awesome! And she will be a completely different type of princess.

I saw it on Broadway and honestly until the scene where Elphaba flies on her broom I was utterly bored. And then after I was too. I thought it was just a shallow play. I like to think better that she's wicked from birth, not turned wicked. I don't know, it turned Wizard of Oz into Mean Girls, and I love Mean Girls, but not when they turn classics into them. I prefer the Broadway Plays with more depth; I absolutely ADORE Fiddler on the Roof.

I saw Wicked in Chicago a few years back and thought it was amazing! However, I kind of find Elphie to be a bit out of place in the princesses (since she is... you know, technically one of the greatest villains in movie history), and that would just leave Galinda. And do we really need another cutesy blonde princess?

Mean Girls is the best ^_^
