I can't really judge because I've only seen the movie twlight once, and I've never read the books.

I think she would be an Edward fan.

I would hate Belle if she's a fan of Twilight.

Why does everyone think Belle would like Twilight. That book is shallow with a poor plot. I just don't see why soulless vampires and complaining teenagers would be appealing to her (and frankly anyone).

Even if it is horrible writing, I think Belle would like the mildly creative plot line. She's probably the only one of them that would read it- it's be the only book on Earth left for her to read anyways. I don't know why, but I get the vibe that she'd like it (not just because she likes books). And although I may not 100% agree, I wouldn't think any less of Belle if she was some sort of closet Twihard. I would never hold someones' book choice against them- that's kind of shallow, which ruins the point of hating a supposedly shallow book.

Pfft, Ariel? Seriously? She'd be like "Girl, whatchu doin' waiting for him to talk to you? Go up to him!" She'd hate Bella not because she's the mother of all Mary-Sues, but because she doesn't go after her man in spite of species differences.

I agree with lepetitsouris... also, I could see Ariel being a twihard. Or maybe Aurora, but I can't see that as easily.

I agree with firegirl1515. It's a little ridiculous to hate someone because of what they read. I have plenty of friends who read Twilight. I also have friends who hate Harry Potter, which I undyingly love.
Belle seems like the type who would love the storyline and get tangled in it. She wasn't exactly reading literature ....she was in fact, reading a love story. Chances are, if she lived in today's world, she's love Wwilight.

I can't really imagine Belle liking it, she's too well read. Putting the plot aside (which I don't think Belle would respond well to, I think Bella would annoy her, not only with her weakness, but mostly with her single minded obsession with men at the expense of all else. Bella forgot about and lied to her father for a man, I think Belle would hate her.) the book is simply poorly written, it's full of mistakes, plot holes and writing errors. I think someone as well read as Belle would be irritated by the abundance of writing mistakes, before she even had a chance to be annoyed by the plot.

I think Cinderella's the most likely. I think she'd respond best to the flowery writing style, be less likely to pick up on the mistakes, and relate more to a character who dreamt of a man she didn't know well 'saving' her from everything about her current life.

Well, I said so, because if she liked it, she would be absolutely different character. Because Belle (like she is) can not love Twilight. Here I agree with lepetitsouris.

Pfft, most definitely. She'd be all into that romantical badly-written mediocre crud. I could totally see her being a real Edward fangirl and being all "BELLA AND EDWARD FURVER GUIZ!"

@ppv- Nah, I don't think Belle would be a different character. But I'm glad you wouldn't automatically start hating her if she liked it, I thought that's what you meant.
Sorry, I just see Belle liking it most out of these choices. I'm not saying she would LOVE it. But she'd like it most out of the other princesses.
I disagree with Straggy, I think she's just saying that because she hates Belle.

Either Belle, Ariel, or Aurora. They just seem like the type to let the romance take them away and not notice that bad writing. (Not saying they're stupid.)

Agree 100% with Mermaid-Tail about Belle.

to me, she's the only one that could tolerate it. the classic princesses I think would be turned off by the vampires and violence. everybody else wouldn't be able to understand giving up everything for a man. they are too much independent feminists. ariel could let the romance sweep her away. she would TOTALLY be a edward fangirl

No, not Belle. Belle is an independent girl who has dreams and goals. Bella is a dense emotionless ditz who jumps off a cliff because edward leaves her...
