Her dad had died when she was young, so she'd probably be praying for him and maybe to him. Some people see the deceased as guardian angels. She could have been reading the bible to feel a connection to him and get help and guidance in her time of need. That is what the bible is for, after all.

Honestly I never count Bible when I asked about someone's or my favourite books, because it is the main book in my life and I read it every day so it's possible to say that it is my favourite one, but I usually count only belles-lettres.. I'd be glad if all princesses loved Bible actually.
But out of fiction books, I pick this one. She would love Elinor for her strong character and passionate Marianne..

I think she would love seeing poor, used and abused Valancy stick it to her horrible family. Cinderella would maybe draw some courage from reading about someone in such a similar situation. Plus Valancy Stirling is just kick-butt cool!!! ;) LOL
