I know, most of you don't like that show, but that quote gives me the feeling I have when I watch that scene.

Yes! I actually watched it yesterday, and I cried. :'(

Yes, that was her mother's dress (one of the only memories she has of her biological parents) and her friends remade it lovingly for her to use at the ball, only for it to be horribly shred to pieces.

I think at that point Cinderella basically gave up the idea of her stepfamily ever loving her.

Sometimes it makes me cry. :(

It pinches the inside of my chest every single time...

She not only lost probably the only item left that belonged to her dead mom she loved but any hope that she could have a chance of happiness in her sheltered, oppressive life. It was probably an act of meanness taken further than anything Cinderella was used to- all the music/sounds stop very suddenly, as if we the audience, like Cinderella, are left in shock at the totally unnecessary level of cruelty and abuse of the act.

I always tear up when she runs into the garden. It's hard to watch someone who tries so hard as Cinderella to be strong finally give up.
