shanyuisboss picked Pocahontas:
This was a hard one. Pocahontas for me without question changed for the worse. Pocahontas 2 ruined my second favorite DP. Pocahontas just lost her free spirited personality in the second movie, she became so boring and dull.

And Pocahontas just forgot about John smith and lost her love for him. They have been through everything and yet she talked to him like he was some random dude form the market. I hate how she acted in the second movie. My next choice would be Mulan or Jasmine. Jasmine all of a sudden became a damsel in distress. Mulan, I can't even describe what went wrong. She lost her clumsy personality which I loved about her and became so stupid.

"oh this beast came close to attacking me....LET ME GIVE HIM GIFTS!"

In the first movie Belle started being nice to the beast when he stopped being an a**hole but now when the beast is an a**hole she is going to REWARD HIM!? I do not like this character change.

Honestly none of them, but from what I've seen of the two Cinderella sequels (mainly the 2nd one) I feel like she's not as interesting as she was in her first movie

^ I think it means personality-wise.

Anyway I don't think Pocahontas' personality changed much, to be honest. Just because she went with John Rolfe it doesn't mean she had a personality overhaul.

Yeah I think Pocahontas is the same, except for a little bit mature but that's it.

I made sense for Ariel to change, as she is a parent and it takes place 12 years after the original. Pocahontas just did not seem like herself and suddenly after seeing Rolfe, her path was complete, and she's a lot more sure of herself in this movie. It's no that she is bad, but just too sudden and forced

It's not because she choose Rolfe.
She is not like in the first movie. I don't see now in her this freedom-wanted girl who looking her own fate and colors of the wind... Well, maybe she's back to her old-character at the end, but on the beginning she is not like Pocahontas from first movie.

She didn't use her wit and intelligence at all and she come up with that strange idea "follow your heart" in sequel. In sequel Mulan looks too romantic and even little selfish because of that. The first movie's directors said that Mulan always try do the right thing and use her brains and physical ability to solve her problems. I understood true to your heart means that you shouldn't lie your heart and pretend something else you are, not follow it blindly. And like shanyuisboss said she lost her lovely personality.
I also argee with those who chose Pocahontas, she lost her spirit and was too rushed.

AUGH THIS POCAHONTAS 2 BIAS JUST MAKES ME SO MAD *HULK SMASH*
Pocahontas 2 uses pacing effectively as it can to mark her character development. She's arguably one of the most similar to her first film, she's still free spirited, she's still rebellious and daring, she's still wise and places her people above herself. As far as her love story goes, the movie makes a point to show her mourning for Smith at the beginning, approx months after his "death," and shows her slowly coming to grips with his passing. It was healthy and realistic, and it took months for her to fall in love with Rolfe. (Come on, how long do you think a boat trip took back then) The movie isn't that bad, and Pocahontas's character is as close as anyone could hope for.
Belle on the other hand, god her character was slashed. Int he first movie she was caring, but cunning. Accepting, but snobbish. She never made excuses for the beast, he was an ass and she made him know it. In the sequel she's a groveling ninny, desperate for his approval. Jesus.

What I meant to say about Pocahontas didn't really change personality but more of her view on the world and the way she acts. their is a difference
