some of them, like ariel, aurora, cinderella. even snow white is a bad influence, but i still love her. the independent women only started with belle, imo
Of course not! People who think they're a bad influence are just looking at the small things. Sure Ariel changed herself to be a human but that was her dream. She made her mistakes but learned her lesson and never stopped chasing her dream. Isn't that what life is about? Snow White and Cinderella taught girls to be kind and amiable. Just because they weren't independent or hard working doesn't mean that girls watching their movie would learn that. I rememebr watching Snow White for the first time and loving it. I thought that she was a lovely sweet princess. I rememebr Cinderella has being patient, hard working, determined and hopeful. That's what I learned from them. Disney princesses are absolutely not a bad influence, if anything they taught me many things in life.
No they in the movie, but the merchandise yes .Princess are princess because they maried with a prince or born into royalty and her only worry are the dresses vs Girls that have a gold heart and fight for their dreams, I stay with the movies, hate the franchise.
There are bad influences too, like unnaturally skinny bodies or disobeying parents... But overall, Disney Princesses are kind, loving, and caring, and it teaches how good people will get good results.
Many of the princesses have their flaws, but so does everyone else... and I think the positive influences of each princess outweigh the negatives. But yes, I do agree with LaSalvatore's points about the franchise.
All of them have positive traits to look up to and they're all good people. Everyone has flaws and the princesses show how they get past them to achieve their happy ending.
