But then again, Mulan's actions and story revolve mostly around men- she goes to war to save her dad, she poses as a man, she is challenged by other men...Surely that's anti-feminist? Also you can't say Mulan has positive representation of female relationships considering her mom and grandma only appear at the beginning of the film and don't contribute much to the plot. (but then again it's progressive when compared to the other films with their evil or dead moms)

^Good point. Doesn't that make Sleeping Beauty more pro-feminist? The story is driven mostly by female characters. The female villain is portrayed powerfully, feared by all. The fairies play a large part in the movie as well. They are mostly portrayed positively, saving Prince Phillip from the dungeon and providing him with weapons to defeat Maleficent. Aurora herself isn't exactly a feminist icon, but the overall movie could be given more credit.

^You're both right... which is hilarious ironic, given that Mulan is the #1 movie considered most feminist while SB is probably considered the least.
