The biggest pergunta about Frozen? How did Elsa get ice powers. Over the past few weeks, I have observed many theories have got her powers. Please note that none of these are mine, but I can't find the original source. If you came up with one of these, tell me and I'll credit you.

1. Elsa was born on the Winter Solstice

We learn that Elsa was born with her powers in Frozen. That seems to suggest that there was something 'abnormal' about her birth. Maybe, like one fã suggested, she was born on the 21st of December (Winter Solstice). This would connect her back to the theme of ice and winter.

2. Elsa's mother (or other family member) was cursed

Elsa definitely cursed so... Was somebody else? Perhaps her mother? If so, I'd amor to know why.

3. Elsa's mother was fed a magical plant

In Tangled, Rapunzel get her powers because her mother ate a magical power when she was pregnant. It is possible that the same thing happened to Elsa's mother.

This is my opinion you may agree or disagree all you want. I’m not going to try to make the film modern por saying have the princess save herself or take out the prince. But in the way that the film was made, what I think could have made it better. This artigo will have spoilers.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

1: mais Screen time with the prince.
I feel like this is one of the main thinks that makes the film lacking something and that’s the prince, I feel like it would be ten times mais amazing if he had a least a little mais screen time.

2: Snow’s Father.
I think what’s really important to this story is what happened to Snow’s Father, he died at sea in a storm that the evil queen made, it would show how Valente Snow was to stay with her step mother.

3: One Song.
As in one mais song for the movie, I feel like the Evil queen could have an amazing song but I don’t see the time that she could sing it, maybe when she’s about to turn herself into a Hag.

OK, first of all, I haven't seen the film. Unfortunately, due to my somewhat uncontrollable curiosity, I have seen spoilers of the ending and anything in between and as a result of this, I have discovered that Hans is in fact the villain of the movie and at the end, he is punched out por Anna, he is sent back início to be punished por his brothers, and on topo, início of all that, Elsa proclaims that Weselton is no longer welcome in Arandelle.

OK, let me give my 2 cents about this right now......MAKING HANS THE BAD GUY WAS ABSOLUTELY STUPID!!!!! Why did Hans have to be the bad guy?! WHY?! Why couldn't Elsa have been the villain?! Anyone who's read or at least knows the story knows that the Snow queen is the bad guy. Listen, I'm not saying that Elsa should be the villain forever, just for a large majority of the film until Anna heals her or something like that. She would've been a much better villain than some douchebag who wants to get power.

And on that subject, let me state this, I. HATE. DOUCHEBAG. BAD GUYS!! The reason I hate them is not because the predetermined reasons that are presented in front of them por their creators, but for the fact the only reasons...

Found on Pinterest, if you made please tell me.
Sorry so late, Show Week Drama has begun early for me. I'll try to have favorito Princesses up before Downton Abbey is on tonight at nine. link, link, and link

10th Prince Charming with 97 points
Charming sadly loses in this kind of rankings all the time and just as sad he isn’t event that close to 9th place. Charming is an underrated character just a bit but because of his lack of screen time it gets him down here. People said he was...everything that I said.

9th The Prince with 130 points
Like Charming the Prince isn’t that far from last but this time, he isn’t that far por a long shot! Underrated but because of lack of screen time. People said he was [i]" Criminally bland, underdeveloped but very charming and kind. Also he has a voice from...

Well, as you guys may or may not know, I've been doing a series of "Why I Love" artigos for all the princesses, and since I've already done my eight favorites, I decided to try something new instead. For my bottom five favorito princesses, I decided to make a new series of artigos talking about what prevents them from being higher. So yeah, this might be a bit controversial, but it's my opinion so if you don't like it than...cool? Let's go onto the article!

The Positives

I didn't want this artigo to be all bad, and there really are a lot of positives about Mulan. First of all, she's the princess I most relate to. We both are forgetful, lazy, want to please our parents, but feel like we fail, don't follow society's "norm", etc. Also, I amor her awkwardness and her change throughout the story. I definitely see the appeal to Mulan, but she's not higher for a reason..

The Negatives

Actual picture of me
I wrote my original getting to know me artigo in June, so I think it's a good time to write a new one. I decided that even if I do get my vampiras account back, it would be foolish to switch to that one now since I have a lot of fãs and a medal on this one.

Name: Astrid Marilyn Valiant
Age: 16, sophomore

Other Personal Info: I live in small-town Delaware, the most boring place in the universe. Most of the people here are pretty conservative, and I'm a pansexual Goth girl that likes disney Princesses, so as you can imagine I don't really get along with a lot of people here. I'm also a manic depressive, but I'd rather not talk too much about that. On a happier note, I'm really into archery and fencing. I'm the best archer in my class. :) I'm quite artistic, I amor to draw and paint and I also enjoy reading. Edgar Allan Poe and Stephen King are my favorites. I'm obsessed with the macabre and horror films, the classics like Dracula with Bela Lugosi and Frankenstein are my favorites. I also really amor Tim burton and his movies, he's my hero. I'm also obsessed with Doctor Who!

MAJOR: PHILOSOPHY
Specialization: undecided

MINOR: MUSICAL THEATRE
Stereotype: dreamer

PHILOSOPHY MAJOR

Probably not what you’re expecting, but I hope to show that Aurora is very suited to philosophy.

To begin with, in Aurora's bedroom - if we look closely - we will see that she has two books. Being the 14th century (a century before Gutenberg's printing press) not only would books be very expensive and rare but literacy rates were very low - even lower considering her demographic: sixteen, female, peasant. por having books at this time, education / knowledge is extremely important in the household and Aurora is most likely very well educated (=at least literate).

Perceptive and Curious

The most important point first: when Aurora goes walking in the woods, she doesn’t just observe nature, but she perguntas it. Not the arguably mais basic W’s (=who, what, when, where, or how), but “why”. She already knows the respostas to the others, but she doesn’t understand why (=the cause, reason, or purpose, etc..) for the behaviour of the animals.

15. Peter Pan- I find him to be mais cute than hot. He reminds me of a little boy and I find that so cute. When I was younger I wanted him to be my boyfriend though. I guess since I'm older I'm into the mais manlier men in Disney.

14. Hercules- I don't know what it is.. but I just don't find him all that hot. Sure, he's manly and strong but when he was skinny and weak I prefer him. They made him too strong and his body was weird to me.

13. Flynn- Blame it on the animation that he's so low on the list.. If he was animated like the rest of the disney guys I would definitely put him higher. He's still hot just not as hot as most the guys on the list.

12. Prince Adam- I expected him to be much hotter.. I do find him hot just not really anything to drool over..

11. Prince Ferdinand- I think I spelled it right... but yeah he is pretty hot. I mean he's kinda mais cute than hot. I find him mais hotter how he looks now a days. But that's just me.

haha, saw someone else do this, and since I am new, I thought I would do one!

My name is Destiny and I am eighteen years old. I have no clue what I am doing with my life, so yeah. I have no college plans, no career plans, and no family to lean on for support *yay*

I got kicked out of my house a ano atrás when my parents found out I was a lesbian. No one in my family talks to me anymore, but I really wouldn't want them to if they can't amor me for who I am. I am living with my girlfriend, Mel's, parents right now. I obviously don't want to stay there forever... I need a better job, lol, McDonald's is never a good career path. I am leaning toward motivational speaking, considering I have been through a lot of crap and I like to talk. haha xD

I amor anything that has to do with punk and Disney. Punk is pretty much my life and so is Disney. When I am not working, that is what I turn to. C;

You guys seem like understanding people so far and I want to get this off my chest. I am a Christian. I amor God with all of my heart, and I do not know why I turned out liking girls and not being attracted to guys. It scares me sometimes. I get a...

Ok then! I felt that I should make one of these articles, so I can PROPERLY introduce myself. Plus, I want you guys to know a little mais about me! (Maybe even mais than you wanted to know)

It ALL began in Mexico City, Mexico on May 21 1998. This is when my parents, Lisa and Guy, gave birth to a beautiful baby boy...ME :) My true name is Felipe Carvika...I'm still not sure if I want to share my middle name :p

Fast progressivo, para a frente a few years: we all mover up to Detroit, Michigan. (No, we were not illegal immigrants....as far as you know). Coming along with us are my two sisters: Grace (now age 17) and Maddie (now age 13). Currently, I have a very adorable miniature schnauzer named Bailey :) she's about 5 years old now.

So, I spent most of my childhood in Detroit. My family was quite religious...very strictly Catholic. My childhood was pretty much LIVED at my church. A little about my ethnicity: there has been a lot of intermarriage in my family. I'm an interesting mix of Hispanic, Eastern European, and Arab. A lot of my relatives came from europa and the Middle East and settled in Mexico. I consider myself Mexican, but I'm in touch with the other...

I already made one on cantar so I thought I'd mover on to speaking..sooo yeah..This will probably be really short since I can't say much other than "ew you suck" or "you're pretty cool", so I decided to just do descriptions under the pictures because it's so much easier that way. Oh yeah and I'm not including Anna/Elsa since sorting out eleven voices is hard enough and I can't figure out where I'd place them. If I had to choose Anna would probably be around seventh and Elsa would be around tenth. Tell me what your list would look like in the comments! Thanks for leitura :)

11. Merida: Kelly Macdonald
I can't see many similarities between the two, but to be fair she was animated por pixar and not Disney. They both seem like strong independent women though :). And I found a picture where they have similar hair!

12. Anna: Kristen Bell
I can see similarities in face shape. Also their eyes are both curvy. I have to admit that Kristen looks mais like the original concept to the actual one. I Believe it was changed possibly to the complaints of fãs that she looked too much like Rapunzel.

13. Elsa: Idina Menzel
They both have the same cheekbones, and eye shape. Their noses are pointy and their faces are long, though Idina's is mais so. I believe Elsa would've had brown hair like Idina's if she didn't have powers because her eyebrows seem to be a chesnut brown color. Their lips are long horizontally. Idina Menzel has played multiple characters similar to Elsa before, most notably Elphaba in Wicked.

Disclaimer: I know the disney Princesses' have modelos who perform actions so that the animators can define how to draw that particular movement. However, I also believe that the animators draw inspiration from their voice actors. Also this artigo is just focused on the character's non-singing voice actor in the case that they have a separate one for when they sing.

1. Snow White: Adrianna Caselotti

Her features all in all are nearly identical to Snow White's. She has dark hair, pale skin, and hazel eyes. She has a simple nose, and is always smiling, which is also similar to Snow White. In fact, Snow White looks so close to her that it makes me think that it could probably be the reason that Snow White looks much older than her age. The main difference I see is the face shape, where as Adrianna's is oval, Snow White's is round.

2. Cinderella: Ilene Woods

She looks almost exactly like Cinderella. In the majority of pictures I could find, her hair goes from medium length to short but it is never long similar to Cinderella's. Their hair as cores although both...

Years atrás I made an artigo about fanpop users that remind me of disney characters so I decided to do an updated one about new fanpop users, with a few who aren't here anymore but have earned their position in the article. Some things I might say may offend some people but try not to take it too personally and keep in mind I did warn you I'm going to be brutally honest, if you don't like it it's your own fault for leitura it. Enjoy!

dclairmont

This was a little hard but I realized that dclairmont is the most like Quasimodo. Both are very shy but are amazing guys. They're always very nice to people they meet and sometimes have trouble expressing themselves but he usually does in the end, just like Quasimodo eventually doe in the end. They're both very insecure and dia dream a lot, they have dreams that they are afraid to go after but won't let it stop them. I've also noticed his taste in animated women reminds me of Quasimodo because he isn't too crazy about the really exotic women like jasmim or Ariel and is mais into the mais simple beauty like Aurora. This reminds me of Quasimodo because he was into an exotic woman like...

Full Lineup
Hi! I've been a part of fanpop for a little over two years and I realized I have never written this kind of artigo before. I know this is an artigo that people normally write when they first join, but oh well. Anyway, I've decided to write it now and I hope you guys enjoy it. Feel free to express your opinion, but please do so in a mature and considerate fashion. Lets begin!

13. Merida
I think Merida is mais cute then she is pretty and she kind of looks funny from the side view. Her mother is pretty than her, but I think Merida has very beautiful eyes. Her eyes are blue (my favorito color) and very striking. Its like an ice blue and it stands out with her red curly hair. Aside from looks her personality is actually very refreshing. She's a princess who is not interested in amor at the moment and doesn't get a prince at the end. She's Valente and good at archery (a big plus for me), but she did try to change her mother so she loses points for that.

I still continuously see people remarking on Pocahontas "lack of personality." It has been a little mais uncommon, but just for the other nonbelievers, I decided to write this. I know many will beg to differ, but it's just the way I see it. If you have any reason to disagree, go ahead and leave a comment. I'm up to defend her. XD Okay, I'll quit rambling on and actually start the article.

The Start

We first begin to see Pocahontas' personality in the very beginning. She leaves us with a lasting first impression. We can see how she is connected to nature from the very start. Seeing her jump off the cliff shows Pocahontas' mais adventurous side. She is playful throughout the scene with Nakoma. That is just the start. Also, Pocahontas is always being playful and having fun with Nakoma.

Inquisitive, Too

Pocahontas has as much as a curious side as any other princess. Most of the time, people overlook this trait. She is is not only desiring to know about the white men, but especially John Smith. The way she speaks to him and messes around with his capacete shows how...

Too lazy to add all the pictures, Snow White's picture was the only one that was uploaded when I started adding fotografias to this article

Snow White: link

This song totally suits her, mainly the first lyric "Running for her life", but some other ones too. Also the gasping in the beginning and towards the end of the song makes me think of Snow White too

There's no doubt to a single person on here that Snow White is sweet, optimistic, and caring, but there's really so much mais to her, and I want to delve deeper into that here. Sorry for lack of pictures, I kind of just threw this together and wasn't in the mood to go searching for pictures.

I amor how Snow White is confident, yet insecure at the same time. She's confident in the fact that she's not scared to go into the Dwarf's início and boss them around. She's quite assertive and doesn't strike me as a passive character whatsoever. If something isn't going the way she likes, she isn't scared to tell people to get it done, or else. She probably likes to take control of situations as she's spent her entire life forced into becoming presumably a servant to the Queen. While confident, she's also insecure. When she first sees the prince, she doesn't run away out of shyness, as it's quite obvious in the way she acts around the Dwarfs she is not a shy person, but out of the fact that she doesn't look good and she's embarrassed because of that. Also, she wants to be liked por everyone. She makes the entire house nice and tidy for them so they'll like her, and later...

Rapunzel’s brow lowered in determination, and she reached out…
link
The unseen force released her, pushing her into the person whose início she’d just broken into. They tumbled to the floor, and Elsa was only aware of three things: her icy magic, glaring into the petite girl’s arms and covering them in frost, the angry, painful burning sensation caused por the girl’s glowing hair; which was draped over the former queen’s prone figure, and the fact that the red-headed assassin was standing on the windowsill, an Arqueiro in her bow and prepared to do her job. All of this meant one thing, and one thing only.

Elsa was going to be killed, her death punctuated por the frost seeping like blood from her figure, the burns of a strange girl’s magic hair, and the sound of an Arqueiro piercing flesh. This was the epitome of a severe disadvantage.

A MUCH better villain, wouldn't you agree?
So many times on this site I have talked about why I think Maleficent is a bad villain and I have tried explaining once (Swanpride remembers this) but I ended up using tons of bad arguments and I didn't word it properly so now I want to try it again. If you have any disagreements, I would amor to debate about this in the comments so feel free to state your opinions.

What I consider a good villian is not all about cool posing or evil laughs. It's not all about how evil they seem por the way that they act or how many people they get to fear of them. To me, it's all about the ruthlessness, the realims, tactics, and the way they set a theme into a villian. Maleficent's concept was an interesting concept. Maleficent is a symbol of all evil. Maleficent has no care of any being, basically a satanic type villain.

The way that they portrayed this into the storyline though did not quite exactly make sense though. Maleficent arrives at a party and decides to strike fear into people because "she was not wanted". To get revenge and prove to them to do what she orders, she casts a spell on Aurora and that on her sixteenth birthday she will prick her finger...

Ok! So here is my review of Frozen's characters! I've already reviewed the música of the film, which you can read here (just copy and paste the link: link

INTRODUCTION
I'm just going to say right now....Frozen has some of the best characters of any disney film. Why? One word: DEVELOPMENT. The characters are all so well developed, and they all have such great and complex personalities (yes, even you Hans). I found that as I watched the film, I realized every character symbolized something. Olaf represented the bond between Elsa and Anna...and Hans, the villain, represented the breaking of their bond. BUT I WILL GET INTO THAT LATER!

ANNA
Anna is the main protagonist of Frozen. She would also be one of my favorito disney princesses. Anna is quirky, awkward, and a little clumsy. Most importantly: she's flawed. "FINALLY!" I can hear the feminists cry. A disney princess who isn't perfect! Of course, there have been others. But Anna's flaws are emphasized...I mean, they show her snoring and drooling out of her mouth for God's...

Mandarin Oriental Hotel and the twin tower.
After all of the princesses and Dee Dee are enjoying their lunch at a Nyonya Restaurant, suddenly everything goes black and they become scared. " What was that?" asked Merida, trying not to sound scared. Then, a black, giant smoke appears in the middle and it forms into a black reaper-like figure.
"So you have arrive in Malaysia now, I'll curse the whole of the country into darkness and despair with the help of my friend, Jafar!" It lets out an evil laughter and disappears, then everything goes back to normal.
"Who was that?" asks Dee Dee, "that is the spirit of despair!" replied Cinderella, "she has allied herself with Jafar and we must stop them immediately before her curse is fulfilled." said Jasmine, "but how? Only 1 person can stop her, it is predicted in a prophecy." said Mulan.
"What is this prophecy?" asks Dee Dee, "we'll talk about once we get back to the hotel, this is not the right place to talk about." replied Tiana.
This makes Dee Dee and the princesses worried, who was this person who is able to stop the Spirit of Despair and how? But there is one thing that bothers them, who is the Spirit of Despair?

I've already made an artigo like this for my topo, início 7 (link, link, link, link, link, link, and link), and thought it was about time to make one for my eighth, Jasmine. Despite Jasmine's "low" place, I really, really amor her! If you don't include Anna and Elsa on my list, she's actually sixth. I've really been warming up to jasmim lately, moving her slowly out of my bottom 5 and there's a possibility that she could mover up even higher. This will be a scene-by-scene review, so it may get quite long....

There is so much to be said about Frozen. Personally, this movie has really struck a chord with me. Watching it was SUCH an emotional experience, and I really connected with several of the characters. But, I will get into all that of that "emotional" stuff...LATER. For now, I will give my honest, critical review of Frozen.

BASIC PLOT
Two sisters, Anna and Elsa, are driven apart por a dark secret. When a charming prince enters the picture, their relationship is put to the test. Personality conflicts come to a head, and Elsa flees their kingdom. Anna enlists the help of a mountain man, a reindeer, and a talking snowman in order to find her estranged sister and set things right.

MUSIC
All right, so the first thing that pops into my head are the SONGS. Oh my, the MUSIC! I do not think Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante has the best soundtrack of any disney movie, but it certainly is amazing. Especially the score. Christophe Beck, who composed the film's score, made it his goal to create a "cohesive musical journey." And he did a BEAUTIFUL job of this. My personal favorito numbers are "Summit Siege" and "Treason." As for the songs, they are GREAT, but not Disney's best. Bobby...
