I think having friends in life gives it a great lift, makes it living worthwhile as much as amor does. Without friendship, life would have been such a drag. They are the best form of relationship adding so much in our lives - fun, comfort, support and even the amargo, amarga truth for our better future. I amor the kind of confidence friends brings in me and make me strong to do and be what and who I want to be.

So, as much as disney princess filmes are about amor stories and happily ever afters, I amor the strong underflow of friendship that is always there in each of the movies. I amor seeing the characters with their friends, their true selves being revealed in best of light, wishing, dreaming, sharing heir hearts out in unapologetic honest ways. Here's my topo, início 10 list of friendships that I find funny, endearing and rock-solid.

10. Lumiere & Cogsworth: friends with benefits
I amor their constant debates and trying to win the argument. Cogsworth, the cautious one, and Lumiere, the flamboyant gives me so many moments to laugh. Though they are always trying to make the other look stupid, I amor how they get together against a common goal so...

Yep, that's right today I'm going to defend Merida, a princess I've seen a lot of undeserved hate. She is number four on my favorito disney Princess list, and it kills me how much hate she gets, and I don't think people see the good side of her.

Is there a good side of her? Of course there is! There's a good side in everyone, but everyone is so busy focusing on denouncing her for her flaws, that they forget to admire her flaws. Admire her for her strengths.

I admit, I agree that Merida can be a brat, but what princess isn't? They all have bratty moments, why is Merida the only one being hated for being a brat?

Here are a few instances:

"Doesn't she know that refusing an arranged marriage, can start a war?"

I'm sure she knows that, and again that is one of her flaws, and there were three(?) options, so if they were avoiding war, then they would only make peace in one country!

And if you watch the movie again, it wasn't to avoid war. It was because it was tradition. And she was refusing marriage, because she didn't agree with tradition, so she was standing up for what she believed in....

Hi everyone! This artigo will order the disney princesses from lowest to highest in my opinion, and mais importantly, explain why each DP is ranked where it is. Hope you like it!

13. Elsa

Pros: Let me first say: AWESOME SINGER!!
Ok. She's obedient, staying in her room with her gloves as ordered por her parents so as to prevent anybody from being harmed por her ice powers. She's also caring towards her sister Anna, and doesn't mean or want for her to get hurt. She's also sensible regarding Anna and Hans - she knows that one has to know a person for much longer than just one dia to get a definite sense of his or her personality. Good going, Elsa.

Cons: She didn't act very responsibly when Anna told her that Arendelle was Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante because of her. I know that at that point she didn't know how to thaw the kingdom, but I do believe that she should have put some effort into trying to figure it out (even if her efforts were futile) as part of her duty to her kingdom. I do sympathize with her for fleeing in the first place - her own kingdom thought she was a monster, and she must have been terrified. However, I think that it would have been...

Here's my quick ranking on original DP films in part 1 of this artigo series. Part 2 will follow with all the sequels, prequels and shorts. Hope you'll enjoy it!

12. Princess and the frog:
I found the script to be very lazily written, with no wow moments to remember and no surprising twists. The movie crawled at deathly slow pace, making me skip scenes in between. The animation was pretty average with nothing memorable except a few scenes in bayou and death of Dr. Facilier. I found the sett ups to be unflattering and lacked the disney magic feel to it. The best set-up from the entire movie was the Bayou wedding. The chemistry between Tiana and Naveen was also not emotional enough for me to remember it and their moment of amor declaration was just flat. This is one of those filmes I have forgotten way too easily and have no fond memories. The best part of this filmes is its jazz música that brings a little upbeat feel to it, else it makes me feel drowsy all the way.

The pesquisas are finished and the results are in! Who is the most frightening villain of them all? Here are the rankings of the main villains from each disney Princess film, according to the disney Princess fanpop Club! Thank you to everyone who voted as well as everyone who left comments! Some of your comments are shown mais than once, if they applied to mais than one villain. I hope you guys enjoy this and can't wait to hear what you guys think overall! :D (P.S. This is the club's rankings. For those of you who are interested in link)

12. Hans: Although the majority of fãs voting did not think he was the least scariest villain, that majority could not agree on who was. The seguinte closest runners were Gaston and Governor Ratcliffe. A few people even found Hans to actually be a pretty frightening villain, mostly because of his amazing acting/manipulating skills. They thought his ability to portray himself so opposite on the outside from what he was inside, made him particularly mais frightening. Those who...

My list hasn't changed all that much but I thought after rewatching aladdin I would write an updated list.

13. Merida- Not a fan, I'm all for female empowerment but I don't like her attitude. She is just so rude & I do not find her likeable.

12. Elsa- She just really bugs me. I can't think of any other reasons but she just aggravates me.

11. Anna- Not keen on her either. She is not as bad as the other two but I'm not a fan, moving on.

10. Tiana- She is too much of a workaholic. I get that she has dreams to run her own restaurant but she can have fun once in awhile.

9. Jasmine- jasmim has really moved down on my list. I just cannot stand her attitude. I like strong women but her attitude is so irritating. I find her to be so rude. She is also a hypocrite. aladdin lies to her but yet jasmim believes him & she claims she is "not a prize to be won" but yet she lets aladdin treat her like one, makes no sense. She is just too much a diva for my taste.

What I will write will be similar to what I wrote on the last article. Most of my opinions are the same except for Aladdin. I wanted to write an updated artigo because I finally rewatched Aladdin. Please no rude comments. Enjoy!

12. Brave- I despise this movie I really don't like Merida. While she may be a strong I think she is just rude and annoying. The film is so forgettable. I haven't seen the film in about 4 years and I don't plan on seeing it again.

12. Frozen- As many of you know, like Valente I detest this movie. The characters are very irritating & the movie was trying way too hard to be progressive. It was mocking the other disney filmes such as saying you can't marry a man you just met. disney has been trying to break away from that stereotype for years. It's common sense to know you don't marry a person you just met. These films are fairytales for goodness sake! People take disney filmes too literally. I think disney made Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante for people who hate on Disney. Most people grow up & realize these films are just entertainment. Adults that spend time overanalyzing disney filmes just need to grow up & get a life. I...

I'm sorry but I disagree with each side. I mean I agree with each side but I don't. I think both sides of the argument are taking things way too far, and it doesn't need to.

Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante fãs need to just accept that not everyone likes this movie and Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante haters need to learn that they are being just as rude as the Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante fãs and they just need to stop.

Both sides really need to stop because they're ruining this movie for me. They already ruined Elsa for me, and soon, I'll hate the whole thing, even Anna, who's my favorito DP.

I find it awkward that every other disney fã has taken a side, and I can't because I disagree with both sides.

I amor Frozen, as I said my favorito disney Princess is in it, but people really need to calm down.

If you don't like the movie Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante or you do like the movie Frozen, but you're not necessarily apart of this argument, you can just read and enjoy, otherwise I hope some of you can learn a thing or two of how this affects others.

I did the 20 Worst DP outfits, and not wanting to waste time on the mediocre ones, will now rank my favorites.

20. Ariel's Nightgown

Yes, it's just a nightgown, and yes, rosa, -de-rosa is not her color, but yes oh yes does it look pretty, comfortable and just appealing.

19. Snow White' Servant Dress

If the ends were just cleaned up a bit, and she changed out of those ugly clogs, this would be an adorable outfit. She is rockin' that hairbow.

18.Cinderella's Servant Dress

Like Snow White's servant dress, this outfit is servitude in style. The outfit is simple and flattering for Cinderella.

17. Tiana's Wedding Dress

Unlike many, I like the unexpected design on this simple yet pretty wedding dress. The as cores are mais flattering than many of Tiana's other outfits (though not much better).

16. Tiana's casaco and Hat

The New DP ícone contest it's not that new anymore, since it was created nearly a ano and a half ago. The anniversary was actually on july, but I noticed I haven't done anything especial to celebrate it, so this artigo is the first of many surprises to come related to the New DP ícone contest. Let's start!

Every ten rounds of the contest, I made a pesquisa with all the winners from those rounds. These were voted the best ícones por the fans.

Winner from rounds 1-10 ~ MissAngelPaws

This beautiful ícone made por MissAngelPaws was voted the best out of the winners of the first ten rounds of the contest. She originally won round 1: a DP seen from the back.

Winners from rounds 11-20 ~ Cynti19 & Tiffany88

This amazing ícone made por Cynti19 had the highest percentage in the poll. It was the winner in round 14: A DP ícone with tribal background.

And this stunning ícone made por Tiffany88 had the most number of comments. She won round 17: a Belle ícone with snowflakes.

Here's my ranking of disney Prince, barring Prince Hans as he's the DP villain. Hope you'll find it entertaining.

11. Florian:
Apart from cantar and showing courtesy and respect to a young maid of lower status, there's literally no interaction and no scenes to understand his personality. It was kind of creepy for me that he'd kiss a supposedly dead maiden. So yeah, he's the last in my list.

10. Naveen:
Spoiled rich brat who didn't even learn after plundering all the ancestoral wealth and thought of fixing it the easy way to find a rich girl to marry. Too flirtatious, too lazy, too laid-back in life, irresponsible and careless with his actions. He also has a materialistic greed which Dr. Facillier exploits. Doesn't treat Lawrence well. His only redeeming quality is that he was open to listen to Tiana and work his way out of the magic spell, with however much effort. He also changed por the end to become a better person for the sake of someone else. But yea, he leaves a pretty bad impression.

These are simply based on how much I like/admire/relate to that character, and it's only my opinion, so you don't have to agree with it. :) Let's begin!

12. Aurora

She doesn't do much at all, and for me to like someone they have to actually DO something. She only gets 18 minutos of screen time in the whole movie, and only 18 lines! She's pretty and graceful and all, but I don't see any real personality or character in her, just a bland princess space-filler.

11. Elsa

Honestly I don't know why the world is so obsessed with her. I think she kind of ran away from her problems. To me, Anna is the real hero of Frozen. I know it's not Elsa's fault she had to keep her powers hidden. But everyone acts like she's so strong and Valente just because she has ice powers and doesn't get married, and that doesn't mean anything. She really has no good qualities in my opinion, other than having great looks and vocals. (I amor YOU, IDINA MENZEL!!)

These are some Polyvore outfits I made based on the disney princesses' styles. I tried to stay true to the as cores of their outfits and the styles they would wear in the modern age.

link
I made this set based on Snow White's dress colors, and her sweet personality goes well with the cardigan, shirt, and maçã, apple earrings. Whoever wears this outfit can "look the part" with the red lipstick.

link
This set is based off of Cinderella's elegant style. She would keep it simple, yet very pretty. White skinny jeans seem like her thing. The hope colar represents the way she always stays optimistic.

link
Aurora would wear this girly and sweet outfit, because those two adjectives describe her very much. She would be a classic beauty and win the hearts of many princes in this. The simple coloring would bring out her...

I am currently rating every DP outfit, and here are the ones that aren't exactly magical. (Please note this doesn't include what they wore when they were little. It also doesn't include Elsa or Anna.)
Here we go!
Merida's Formal Outfit

No wonder Merida ripped this outfit- it hides her beautiful hair, and it seems like she can barely mover in it.

Cinderella's rosa, -de-rosa Ballgown

This dress is what happens when you ask critters living in your house to style a dress for you- an atrocity!

Ariel's Rag Dress

This is one of those outfits that sorta make you ask, "Is this a joke???" At least they weren't showing her in the nude, I guess.

Cinderella's Nightgown

Blah. Just blah. Nothing special here.

Mulan's Father's Armor

I know she was pretending to be a man, but this look for mulan isn't a glamorous one.

Does this look like the face of someone who doesn't care?
Well, this is the first time I've ever done something like this before.
If you remember my "Elsa isn't selfish, just flawed"article that I've written 7 months ago, ever since then I've seen mais criticisms against Elsa claiming that she's selfish. And this time, they're even worse,so I decided to make a continuation of that article,a sort of "Sequel Article" (sorry if that sounded stupid).
Firstly, just like before, this is just MY opinion, this isn't the word of God and I'll use all the evidence and logical thinking to "build my case",but I just want to defend a character that means a lot to me.
Second, these will all be opinion based,so if you all disagree with me,remember that just because you have a different opinion than mine, doesn't mean that I won't respect your opinions or you as people.
Okay,let's being:

1."She's the most arrogant disney Princess,so I think she's a poor role model and many girls are taking her as one"-First of all,I think these haters should give Elsa a break. So yeah, she had a bit of a crappy (sorry about that) start as a queen, but in the end,we all saw how much of a noble and loving coração she has and how much she really...

Thought this was really the perfect time for this light read considering which months I think each DP represents the best. :D I did this based on personality and my perception of how those personalities relate to the 4 seasons as well as each month. I hope you guys enjoy! My apologies to non-Americans as this is heavily based on my American connotations with these months especially in regards to American holidays. Hope you guys don't mind!

November: Tiana
Thanksgiving has always been my absolute favorito #1 holiday! I amor it because it brings people together over a great meal, just like James' (Tiana's father's) dream: for good comida to bring together people of all walks of life. For this reason, Tiana definitely reminds me of November. She loves to cook and bring people together which is what Thanksgiving is all about to me. I also see her as an autumn kind of girl, a bit sassy but not cold.

December: Elsa

I have always been intrigued with crossovers among disney princess couples. Although, honestly, most of these couples are for imagination and fictional enjoyment only as I tend to find mais and mais similarities between them than the original couples. I prefer original couple but sometimes i imagine different pairings as well.
Hope people won't find it awkward or weird to see these pairings and would enjoy it as interesting read. Having said that, I'd amor to hear your opinions of why any of these pairing is completely off and who would you rather pair them with?

1. Snow – Charming

Similar traits: gentle, gracious, humble and modest, mature, naïve, kind and generous, comforting, protective in their own ways (Snow towards dwarfs and Prince towards his love), wants to be with their true love

Opposite traits:
Snow is playful and child-like innocent, Prince Charming has a matured demeanor.

Based on the latest blogs/usernames posts we've been making, I felt inspired to do this one (also inspired por laylastepford's suggestion, which was pretty fun to think about).

Snow White- A young girl that likes going out to fairs and picnics. Eventually studies to be a nurse. She likes romance and homemaking activities. Everybody in the neighborhood loves her pies. Her stepmother starts abusing her some time after her father's death, but she finds comfort and help in the form of her elderly uncles and their friends.

Cinderella- Another girl abused at início after her father's death. She tends to find different ways to escape her house, though, por finding work in small shops or cafes. Helps a lot in school. Would eventually like to go to college, but she's not sure if that is possible. She likes designing, gardening and taking care of animals.

Aurora- A romantic at heart, she's often the most well dressed girl around. Raised por her three aunts in in the outskirts of the city, she kinda tends to wander off on her own, but she knows how to behave herself in social situations. Loves leitura romance novels, and is fond of 80s fantasia films.

Charm-the Real Feminine Mystique:
"A girl need not have perfect features nor an outstanding figure to be popular. But she should have charm. As Sir James Barrie had Maggie say in his play, What Every Woman Knows, 'If you have it, you don't need to have anything else; and if you don't have it, it doesn't much matter what else you have.'

Once you have acquired charm, you'll probably never lose it. Especially after you have discovered how much happier your life is because you are considered to be that charming girl down the street.

To be charming you need not to be any particular age, weight or height or have any specific coloring or proportions. Charm is like an essence. It is easier to recognize it in a person than to define it, although Webster's Third New International Dictionary says that charm is 'a combination of entirely attractive and delightful traits.'

Author and scholar Havelock Ellis wrote, 'Charm is a woman's strength just as strength is a man's charm.'"

My Favorite: "When You Wish Upon A Star" Score into the Whistle as the Castle Builds Itself Magically, Ending with Walt's Signature Logo
Inspired por link, who did an amazing job(! <3), I really wanted to do my own version with favorito Openings. I actually really amor the original fairy tale concept of the disney Princesses and I amor the openings that give a mais magical and fairy tale kind of feel. (By the way, I am primarily trying to stick to the first 2-4 minutes.) So here is my ranking of the DP film openings, I hope you guys enjoy this light read! :D

12. Frozen: Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante Heart/Ice Opening
I personally found this to be uninteresting and irrelevant to the film's magic, fairy tale and princesses (mostly) in the film. No explanation of how Elsa got powers. Gorgeous Aurora Borealis but everything else was a bit boring. Where are Kristoff's parents? Why are the iceworkers totally comfortable with a young boy and his reindeer running around without parents? What do these iceworkers have anything to do with the story other than Kristoff and Sven hanging out with them until the Trolls take them in? Confusing opening with beautiful landscapes but no...

I, myself only knew 8 out of 24. Who knows, you might know mais than me or know less than me. Either way enjoy leitura and absorb the knowledge!

Trivia

1) Art director Brian McEntee color-keyed Belle so that she is the only person in her town who wears blue. This is symbolic of how different she is from everyone else around. Later, she encounters the Beast, another misfit, also wearing blue and with blue eyes. It symbolized good in the film whereas red symbolized evil (the color of Gaston's camisa is red). A notable exception to this code is Gaston's blue eyes - making him the only disney villain to have eyes the same color as the protagonist's.

2) When Paige O'Hara was auditioning, a bit of her hair flew in her face and she tucked it back. The animators liked this so they put it in the movie.

3) In the first song, where Belle sings in the town, she sits por a fountain. As she reads the book (described earlier as an adventure with a prince in disguise which sounds just like Beauty and the Beast), she flips to a page with a picture. Look closely, and you will see see that she is in the bottom right, the beast in the middle...

I, myself only knew 7 out of 14. Who knows, you might know mais than me or know less than me. Either way enjoy leitura and absorb the knowledge!

Trivia

1) Production designer Richard Vander Wende devised a simple color scheme for the film, inspired por its desert setting. Blue (water) stands for good, red (heat) for evil, and yellow (sand) is neutral. For example, the villainous Jafar is clad in blacks and reds, while the virtuous jasmim wears blue. Another example is in the Cave of Wonders, where the lamp's chamber is blue, and the ruby that tempts Abu is bright red.

2) jasmim was originally supposed to be a bit mais active. At one point, she was supposed to confront the Sultan and angrily declare "We have to talk", but the animators nixed it because it would have meant designing an entirely new room for that talk so were forced to fall back on showing jasmim crying instead (which made them cringe). Also, when jasmim was trapped in the hourglass, she was supposed to use the jewel in her capacete to cut herself free, but this was changed to a last-minute rescue por Aladdin. jasmim was also going to be a spoiled brat who...

I really think he loses it, here... Raging at a person is not explaining to a person your personal view.
Triton is one of those dads in disney that absolutely makes me squirm. I don’t amor him, and I don’t hate him. But I do find him extremely unnerving, and on the same plane of Mother Gothel upsetting. He clearly alternates between being “nice” only sometimes, and then being really “explosively nasty” at other periods. King Triton’s rule is a patriarchy. I think his abusive tendencies, though, stem from insecurities he has within himself. Triton is afraid of the unknown. He's also afraid of not appearing “manly” enough. ( Bizarrely, this also makes me think of Prince Adam and Gaston, who are also both afraid of not “looking like men” in front of women). Anyway, Triton shares the trait of “trying to look manly” with his adviser, Sebastian, since both males tend to view females as lesser individuals, and needing “constant supervision.” Triton seems to believe that in order to be a successful ruler and father “he must maintain control of the situation” at all times.
This is something that has always bothered me about him. In fact, the very first time we are introduced to Triton in the original movie, he is...

Okay so some of you might have read link. At the time, it seemed to me like there was a group of very intolerant users who would only be offended if I wrote such an article. (Weird, I know, since many people write this artigo but I still didn't want the tension or drama.) Since I wasn't sure how to write a "physically beautiful" list without offending anyone, I didn't write that artigo and wrote one that I thought had better ideals: an no geral, global attraction with looks, personality and demeanor combined. That being said, I do amor the fairy tale versions of Princesses who were always the "most fairest maiden in all of the land" and I am a bit saddened/disappointed that disney seems to somewhat be going away from that. A very talented writer/user on this site (anukriti2409) did their own link lately and it was done so beautifully that it inspired me to go ahead and give this artigo a try. So in...
