 I know I'm awesome
I know I'm awesome
I'm on a villain appreciation kick right now and since the blatant drainage of all the charisma from his character in the remake is still fresh in my memory I figured I'd give Gaston some props. Some people would call him a lame villain but I actually think he's really cool and these are some reasons why.

He's Hans from Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante done right. Subversion of disney trends is the name of the game in modern DP films, but like I've been saying, disney Princess filmes have been subverting and reinventing themselves before disney Princess even became a brand. In the Little Mermaid, the princess rescues and pursues the prince and obviously in aladdin the prince is the estrela instead of the princess, but BatB is probably the most in depth subversion of a disney convention.

The contrast between the dashingly handsome seemingly "prince-esque" Gaston and the vicious scary seemingly "villain-esque" Beast was a clever way to turn the whole Prince Charming archetype on it's head. In the beginning of the film Gaston looks like the ideal man, strong, confident, popular but Belle sees the malicious ways behind his glorified macho facade. As Belle's rejection slowly drives Gaston insane, the Beast slowly reveals the goodness behind his hideous exterior.

Speaking of Belle's rejection, Gaston is a pretty realistic character, watch serial killer documentaries and you'll see how rejection is a trigger for a lot of them. He's also a good representation of how evil and dangerous modern school bullies can be. How he basically uses his influence and popularity to goad the townspeople into following his lead, just like how ganging up on teens today can lead to some tragic conclusions. Watch any high school movie with a queen bee/mean girl and it's basically the same thing.

anterior DP villains highlighted the detrimental aspects of femininity. (vanity, jealousy, spite) As the first male DP villain, I think it's fitting that Gaston highlights the detrimental aspects of masculinity. He's ego driven and his ego is easily bruised. He's unnecessarily violent and aggressive. And behind his muscular physique, he's really just a conniving coward who begs for his life once the Beast gets the upper hand.

Like a lot of disney characters, I think Gaston is an almost frightening representation of real life issues, regarding the power of popularity. He has a large group of people wrapped around his finger and he uses their fear, ignorance and ovelha, ovelhas mentality to do dangerous things. He can be harmless on a good dia but the minuto he doesn't get his way, he turns into a monster and even worse, he turns other people into his minions. Now that's all too real.

Here’s a basic rundown of each type:
1: perfectionistic, rational, idealistic
2: generous, warm-hearted, nurturing
3: ambitious, image-conscious, charming
4: sensitive, dreamy, moody
5: cerebral, perceptive, analytical
6: trustworthy, loyal, Valente

As often as disney princess sidekicks are talked about, it feels to me that the side characters of villainous role are often over-looked. So I wanted to write an artigo talking about their characters and how evil were they. I have tried to rank them basis 3 primary traits: loyalty to main villain and evil plan, scale of meanness/evilness and their importance of role in no geral, global story development. So here's my ranking of the villainous side characters from DP movies. Hope you guys enjoy it!

The content in this artigo is rated PG-13 for mentioning horror-thematic elements though no explicit details are given.

So I was inspired por anukriti2409's link and was inspired to do my own, especially since I knew Dia das bruxas was coming up! Props to link for her artigo as it was actually what inspired me to want to do "themed" articles.

Some Factors in the Countdown: Before I begin the countdown, I want to let everyone know that I think crimes done to children/innocent are the absolute worst and my countdown will no doubt reflect that entirely. Additionally, I tend to believe that it is worse...

I got inspired por anukriti2409's artigo so I decided to write my own list, it was hard to do, but I narrowed it down to these 10 things, hope you'll enjoy this article

10. The Lantern Scene

This scene is imo the most beautiful 3d animated scene, especially the part where the King and queen releases their lantern and then the rest of the kingdom follows, that part gives me goosebumps everytime. It also inspired me to release a lantern on New Year's Eve 2013

9. The Bayou Wedding Scene

This scene is the most beautiful thing from a DP Movie released after 2000, what especially makes this...

So yesterday I wrote about my favorito songs, today I'll write about the 10 best scenes, originally I was planning on only doing a topo, início 5, but I felt that it was too little so I decided to do a topo, início 10 list, like with the songs I amor all the scenes in the movie so placing them wasn't so easy, but I hope you'll like this artigo anyway

10. The Funeral Scene

This scene is so sad yet so beautifully animated and I couldn't resist putting this one on here since I lost my grandmother just a few days ago, but even before that this has been one of the most beautiful scenes in the movie aswell as...

Hello everyone! Since I made a pergunta about "Who are the princesses would you sort into the royal or rebel?" based on Mattel's Ever After High, some peoples commented there with their own idea of princesses in royal and rebel group.
Well in this artigo I want to classifying the princesses in the groups with my version.
This is the first time I wrote an artigo on Fanpop, so please understandable if many mistakes I might be doing in this article.

1. The Royals (Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora)

The true royals are kind, obedient, loyal, graceful, helpful, patient, and sweet. All of them have a...

This is basically Elsa's character in a nutshell.I can relate to those words easily.
Elsa is without a doubt my favorito disney character ever because she's the one I related the most out of all the disney characters out there.Let's get into mais detail why I amor her so much, shall we ;):

Originally,I didn't amor Elsa that much,I thought she was okay and felt neutral about her. That is until I re-watched the movie 2 months atrás and from that dia on,I realized just how much I have in common with her.
It was like I was seeing myself in her,for me that meant so much, and I'm thankful for that.
You see,my mom told me to hold back my emotions at school because I have big anger issues...

For my first article, I decided to start with a light, fluffy topic! Kidding, of course, but I think this is a rather crucial topic that needs to be discussed. Something to keep in mind before leitura this article, I'm a fã of Frozen, I'm a fã of the disney Princesses, and I'm without a doubt a fã of Disney! You can be a fã of something and still criticize it (Spoiler alert for the article? Ah well..) Anyway, onto the article!

First things first let's discuss the racial makeup of Frozen's setting. Oh WAIT, we can't because Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante takes place in a fictional land! That's something that seems...

Why don't they sell princess dresses like these? I'd buy the heck out of these!
Since it's Veteran's Day, I thought I'd use some rare time off to write an article. The only artigo idea I could think of that wouldn't take all dia to research and explore would be a list of princess "peasant" dresses rated in order from the ones I like least to the one I'm seriously considering commissioning my Ren Faire friends to sew for me.

Most people seem to amor the princesses' fancy, sparkly, poofy ballgowns, or their iconic princess dresses. I personally was never a fan. I'm a real stickler for comfort and practicality. Ballgowns tend to be made with a material I find uncomfortable...

I'm slightly obsessed with eyes. I amor drawing them, I amor looking at them, and when I look at the beauty of a person, princess or not, the eyes play a big part in their attractiveness. So I decided to make an artigo about my favorito disney Princess eyes. Honestly, they all have gorgeous eyes, so this will be difficult. But, I shall try my hardest. Oh yeah, Anna and Elsa are included.

13. Cinderella
Her eyes are a really pretty color. They are an amazing shade of blue, and... well, that's about all I like about them. The shape of them is really weird, and in a lot of shots, they are just...
