I started this artigo "series" almost a ano ago, but abandoned my fandoms for a while (very sorry to the people who were looking progressivo, para a frente to it), but now I'm back and want to continue the artigos (hopefully consistently), please enjoy!

If any of you are familiar with character stylization or really art in general you might like this article. I'm talking about character stylization in the sense that when the artist is also the author of the character's personality and has written out their every thought in simply the way they are designed. This can also be called "interpreted art" as anyone can perceive it differently, but a common factor still remains that everyone agrees on. BASICALLY I'm going to "guess" what the princess' personality is like based on the way she's drawn, see what the general consensus is on her personality is and compare it to the artist's (strictly NOT the writer or director's) original idea of what they wanted the princess to come off as. And if this is at all interesting to you you can look up this with different artists por searching it as "the artist's definition of (their work)" and maybe you can find this with other characters.

P.S I know I had to do a lot of digging on the older movies, because of the lack of documentation, so good luck on the ones post 1980's!

Cinderella -- Cinderella

At this point in time disney had established itself as a beloved children's animation studio, however the studio was bankrupt at the time with Cinderella, seemingly, about to be the last animated feature to come out, because of this Cinderella's staff, especially animators, were low-budget. Eventually the honor of Cinderella's design (influenced por Mary Blair's artwork) was bestowed upon Marc Davis with Eric Larson and Les Clark as supervising animators.

Davis showing Ilene Woods the finals for Cinderella

Walt disney had chosen Marc Davis specifically, because Mary Blair's art suggested softer lines and Davis was someone he new was very good with making soft characters, mostly do to his anterior creations like Bambi and Katrina furgão, van Tassel. In fact, around the studio he mostly animated animais and cinderela was his segundo time animating a human character (with Alice, Aurora and sininho soon to come).

 Davis' favorito concept piece
Davis' favorito concept piece

Marc Davis was very fond of the "simple country girl" aspect for her design, but he wanted aspects of her to be beautiful to "really offset the ugliness of the step-sisters."
In many early concepts of cinderela she has hardly any features in attempt to match the Mary Blair art style, but eventually she started gaining mais detailed features with Davis favoring the sketches in which she had two plats on each side of her head.

Of course the live-action reference model had a lot to do with how Cinderella's hair and outfits eventually turned out, in fact disney himself liked the model's style and atuação for reference and wanted her image nearly copied; However Davis didn't much care for her structure and designed cinderela por her voice actor instead of the model.

The pergunta is: Does her finale form encompass the feeling the animator wanted for her character?

All in all I believe what he was trying to convey with Cinderella's looks is almost a chic country southern sino type of look, but covered with a messy and simple exterior, keeping her face light and regal, but still hinting that she sweats and works hard. The mental image I get in my head is Snow White with messy ponytails and dirt on her face, but still naturally pretty. Personality-wise I feel it'd be closer to Jessie from Toy Story or Danielle from Ever After, which cinderela doesn't really have since it's much closer to Snow White.

Based on what I got from what he said and his concept art I feel like she turned out a bit too clean-cut and graceful like Belle. I think the "natural beauty" is definitely there seeing as cinderela wears no make-up with no harsh lines or accessories, but I feel that the "country" aspect is lost, she doesn't really look too "girl" like or "on the ranch," instead she actually leans mais towards a mais mature and graceful look.

Cinderella's outfit, though is very true to form it's simple and maid-like and looks like she takes care of all of the work and spends time in the farm, the fact that it isn't very flattering brings out the beauty beneath the rags which is definitely Davis' vision (and of course the theme of Cinderella). I do think it's a bit too maid-like though, and isn't something like an outdoor stable-hand outfit, (or closer to a milk-maid look) instead it gives me a 1940's housewife vibe.

I think his concepts can definitely be seen in the final product, but, for me, I don't think it fully encompasses what he was going for especially since his contribution to this version of cinderela was going to be a mais "simple country girl" type, which instead comes across as a similar "regal dainty southern bell."

So what do you think; does cinderela perfectly embody what you think her animator was going for, or do you think she's way off? Do you agree with me? Would you have preferred the animator's original idea or what she turned out like? Tell me what you're thinking in the comments, especially tell me if you'd like to see mais (since I started this so long ago).

(More a "question piece" than an "opinion piece"...commentary will be very helpful for my third and final write-up on Aurora's personality)

I cannot remember if I read this somewhere or if I misread something about Rapunzel who has three books... but Aurora seems to have 2 books?

Now, if this is correct, then I'm so happy! Partly because it supports my belief that she's educated (=obviously literate) well beyond the regular peasant, but also, makes her all the better of a role model which might make her 2nd fav princess now (Sorry Cindy).

Historically speaking (=14th century, 1300s), she is set...

I saw CRaZy_rawR do an artigo like this recently and it looked fun so I thought I might try it out :) Anyway let's get started! Also, I'm not including Anna and Elsa in this list, but their wardrobes are definitely two of my favorites!

Snow White: Rags

I absolutely amor this dress! I amor her other dress as well, but I've always found this dress so charming! I amor the color scheme of it, and I amor the blue hair-bow she wears with it. I think this dress is beautiful, and if the Queen's job was to hide Snow's beauty in that dress she definitely failed! Although the bottom of the dress looks...

I wanted to do this for a while, but I wanted to wait until Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante came out before I did. Plus, I have school and tutoring so I really didn't have time. Anyways, here is my long-awaited favorito DP list.

13. Merida
Previous Position: 11
*Blows a deep breath* Merida. (Read in same tone as Nostalgia Chick uses when she said “Anime” in her topo, início ten hottest animated guys countdown.) I want to like her, I really do. But I just... can't. I dislike Merida. I do admit that she did a great thing at the end: admit that she was bad and selfish and accept responsibility for it. But I honestly don't see...

I amor the movie, it was Amazing, Musical, Funny so well animated the graphics where so well detail, their expressions, like if you where watching real people, mind blowing.
When it comes to the story, i just didn't like the fact that their parents die, same thing with The Princess And The Frog when Tiana's father die.
I felt so sad for Anna and Elsa but mostly Anna, her parents had die and she didn't had no one to talk to in that moment, she had no clue why Elsa was keeping her distance from her. With her parents gone and her only family left rejecting her, she must had felt destroyed.
I Love...

I had my list perfectly figured out. Then I saw Frozen. Now it has changed again. It's harder now than it was before to place everyone, especially after deciding I amor both Anna and Elsa in addition to all my older favorites. My list could still change again after I think about it even more, but for now here it is.
13. Snow White
Well she dropped back to last again after moving up an impressive two places. (She's always been low on my list.) She just kind of annoys me with her high pitched voice and I've just never been drawn to her like the other princesses. I really don't like her hair either....

Here are the results of the Princess of the mês Hairstyles Countdown!

This is originally a BelleAnastasia's idea, she started to make countdowns for princesses' songs, hairstyles and outfits each month. She made the other artigos with results only with images, so I continued her tradition, because personally I think it's not bad.

I'm really glad she let me do Aurora's countdowns, I hope you enjoy my pictures!

Snow White

Like I've said so many times before she's my favorito disney Princess. I amor how she always makes the best out of a bad situation and that she's both a child and a mother in the movie and how funny she is and her bossy and sassy side. I also amor that she's an unjudgemental person

Favorite Outfit: Princess Dress with cape - the cape completes the look and makes the dress less plain looking and it's also my favorito animated outfit...

Hello there. I might not be able to fully express myself in this and since this is my first time posting an artigo like this. So,be warned. ^^"
Lets begin!

11) Ariel.
Now,I don't HATE Ariel. I just never really found her all that interesting. She does have her moments where I like her at.
I did like it when she went to the Ursula to turn into a human. Most people think that was a bit selfish of her. I don't though,it was for love. She loved Eric and wanted to be with him.

10) Tiana.
Like with Ariel,I don't hate her. She was an okay character and I really liked her personality. I just...

Well, I've already done an artigo about the faces of the disney princesses, so now I suppose I'll go ahead and list my opinions about the prettiest disney hair. Let's begin!

11. Snow White
Oh, Snow. I hate how you're at the bottom of all lists ever, but with that boring little bob that looks like a gob of paint you just don't deserve much higher. Many condolences.

Hello, DP Fanpoppers, in this artigo I'm going to share my thoughts on they way I see 'The Little Mermaid', and try to prove certain negative opinions surrounding this movie wrong with they way I and certain other people see the situation. Feel free to at least read what I, and many other people's thoughts I've included, have to say about this.

You know, I've always found it off when people mention that Ariel didn't really change her ways por the end of the movie. I thinklink, but here's my take on the situation. She does change in the end, it just wasn't as clear or obvious as it should've...

I went ahead and watched the Little Mermaid for a probably another million times today, no, not for the sake of throwing myself into whirlpool of Ariel/Eric related feelings or fangirling over Ariel’s omg so awesome mermaid species and not even in order to procreate another lengthy and insightful analysis from the perspective of social critique and how patriarchy and condemnation of natural curiosity affects women but on behalf of documenting - in the most objective manner possible and without examining the thorough underlying subtext - actual plot points such as:

A) during the Grotto sequence...

Belle, Nostalgia Critic regards her as one of the best animated characters ever and I have to agree. She's strong, adventurous, doesn't really care what people think of her, doesn't take crap from no one........and yet.....at the same time......it's those same traits that make her kind of ANNOYING!!!! Don't get me wrong. Belle is great. She's hot, she's smart, and she's strong, but you see, the thing is while those are good traits for a perfect to have, Belle has way too many good traits. She is too freakin' stinkin' PERFECT!!!!! She is like the ultimate good model of Disney. She always wants...

I truly believe that a disney Princess TV show would be a great thing. It just has to have deep storylines with action, adventure, comedy, drama, and deep character development. And over time, I have thought up a number of creative ideas for episodes of this TV show. So tell me what you think of these ideas:

1. Merida is bragging about being the best archer and swordswoman in the land when she meets a female archer and swordswoman who shows skills that surpass her. Merida gets jealous and is determined to beat her. The queen disguises herself as a blacksmith and creates an encantada sword that,...

Allright, I have seen all those artigos before about the role modelos but I would like to write one all together to be fair and to not be a single opinion, so If you can please write who do you think is the best role model. That's how I wan't to make the topo, início 10 with the help of all you. Please I think mulan deserves to be number one so tell me for others. You can write for every one you wan't, for example If we have a lot who think Belle is a good role model, she will be the second. If you have perguntas ask in comments, the final list (top ten) will be announced seguinte week! Please vote, I will make and a pesquisa for that and remember, say why!
You know I hate when people say that classic princesses are not good role modelos and all these, you have never see a person who like cooking and cleaning, cause I like that, and stop judje them, you judje them and compare them with things that exist only in the 21th century and with a negative point of view, a selfish point of view, you see the critics about them who are very negative, cause that's their work to find negative things, even when they doesn't exist, you say they are only cooking and cleaning and waiting for a prince to come, you know they don't live in the 21th century! In those...
