I'm so excited to finally get to write this article! I thought this was an incredibly interesting countdown, and I want to give a huge "Thank you!" to everyone who participated. This was my first countdown and it was so much fun! I have a bunch of ideas for other ones I can conduct in the future. So anyway, I'm gonna stop blabbing now and get to what you're all actually here for: the results! Enjoy...

10. The Princess and the Frog

It was no surprise that this movie came in dead last. It was practically a unanimous vote! Every single person who commented voted that this should be the first to leave. Not only did disney twist the fairytale beyond recognition, but the only thing they had in common was a prince getting turned into a frog. For reference, you can find a summary of the original tale here: link

"No doubt about it. The main characters are a different race, with a different setting, time period, motives, plot, etc. The list would be way too long to write. The only thing that is similar in both is that the girl kisses a frog, and that the frog is a prince." ~Jayden-G
"That's what bothers me this most about this (and the way disney fairy tale filmes are heading...). they even got the título wrong. it should be the Frog Prince, since Tiana is not a princess and she kissed a frog prince." ~AudreyFreak

9. Pocahontas

This was another unsurprising elimination. Nearly everyone who commented agreed that it should be the seguinte to leave. They changed ages, names, motives, and dropped an entire romance in where there wasn't one. disney seriously needs to take a few history lessons! For reference, you can read a summary of the historical account here: link

"John Smith was older. Moreover, 'Pocahontas' was just her nickname, not her real name." ~BraBrief
"John was like 35? and Pocahontas was like 12...goodbye" ~princecatcher93

8. Tangled

Though I personally disagreed that this should be the seguinte to get eliminated, the majority of the commenters argued that there were very few similarities between enrolados and its fonte material. The whole "wanting to see the lanterns" dream was an entirely new concept, and instead of a prince, Rapunzel got a thief. For reference, you can find a summary of the original tale here: link

"seriously, this hasn't left yet? they kept the 1) hair 2) a plant 3) being locked in a tower 4) Gothel hurting Flynn. other than that..." ~AudreyFreak
"The fairytale and the movie are just completely different with the exception of a few key elements." ~BelleAnastasia

7. The Little Mermaid

This was yet another nearly unanimous vote. The first half of the tale has several similarities (desire to be human, falling in amor with a prince, trading her voice for legs), but the segundo half bears hardly any resemblance. She feels like she's walking on glass, her prince really does fall in amor with someone else, and she dies in the end because she can't bring herself to kill the man she loves. For reference, you can find a summary of the original tale here: link

"Very different, to say the least" ~rhythmicmagic
"Very different ending, and transformation into human." ~Popcornfan

6. Aladdin

And again we have another nearly unanimous vote. disney took out one of the genies and most of the rest of the story and replaced it with a bunch of pop culture references. Though you can see the parallels between the two stories, really the only things left are Aladdin, his lamp, one of the genies, and a princess (though her name isn't Jasmine). For reference, you can find a summary of the original tale here: link

"Aladdin...that's a totally different story. Which is a good thing. But the movie omits the mother, the ghost of the ring, the palace which is built for Aladdin, just to mention a few thing. Honestly, the only thing left is aladdin and the lamp." ~Swanpride
"The man in aladdin claims to be his uncle, but i think it´s a lie to get aladdin and his mother to trust him, nothing more. I can´t remember Badroulbadour to be spoiled. Of course her character is flat, she isn´t the main character of the story that´s pretty normal." ~Safira-09

5. Mulan

When I began this countdown I was positive mulan would be one of the last filmes to leave. I guess others didn't agree. Sleeping Beauty actually had the most votes at 46%, but mulan had mais comments, and since I was basing this pesquisa off of the comments mulan was the one to go. For reference, you can find a summary of the original legend here: link

"The original tale of mulan is mais a framework of a story than a story itself, but many things are different- mulan has siblings (including a brother not old enough to take his father's place,) her parents seem to be in on the act, she is gone twelve years, and mulan is never discovered but reveals herself after coming início from the army to all her fellow soldiers. The only thing that really remains that same is mulan matures and goes through a period of great maturity (also the symbolism of twelve years) and that the Emperor offers her a position but she returns início instead." ~rythmicmagic
"Yeah. I think she was older in the poem, was not caught until after she served her many years, did not have feelings for her general. There really is not much of a story to the original poem. Oh, there is no dragon, and did not leave for dishonour." ~Jayden-G

4. Beauty and the Beast

I had to make a tiebreaker round for this one. Based on the pesquisa Beauty and the Beast just barely beat Sleeping Beauty, but the comments were tied, so I decided to be doubly sure and make a tiebreaker poll. The pesquisa was very close again, but the comments clearly favored Beauty and the Beast. After all, they left a lot of stuff out (siblings and etc.) and put a lot of new stuff in (talking objects and etc.). For reference, you can find a summary of the original tale here: link

"Well this one is different from the original in a lot of ways. One is that they had no talking objects, no Gaston, and no angry Beast. He was extremely kind to her. Maurice got captured because Belle asked him for a rose, he was rich, had sisters, and had little to no plot." ~Jayden-G
"This is hard. Both have similarities and differences from the original tales. I'm choosing BATB, because it just seems to have mais differences than Sleeping Beauty." ~BelleAnastasia

3. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Once again Sleeping Beauty actually won the pesquisa portion of this, but the comments favored Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It's easy to see why it was the seguinte to leave - in the original Snow White was younger, the Wicked queen tried to kill her three times, and there was no magical kiss. For reference, you can find a summary of the original tale here: link

"In the original, the queen tricked her three times and the prince didn't kiss her, he just thought that she was pretty and so he had her taken to his palace in a glass case and on the way she was dropped and the maçã, apple came loose." ~rythmicmagic
"What bothers me about the changes the most is the kiss...totally screwed up the perception of the tale." ~Swanpride

2. Sleeping Beauty

Anyone who faithfully voted in this countdown will know that I was pushing for Sleeping Beauty to go from fairly early on. I guess very few people agreed with me because it ended up in segundo place! The majority of the original elements are still there, and when compare to Perrault's version, which it is directly based off of, it is nearly exact. For reference, you can find a summary of the original tale here: link

"Hm, in the original fairy tales, there is no dragon and there are seven fadas not three fairies. Besides, the princess sleeps for 100 years." ~LightningRed
"Sleeping Beauty is missing big plot elements that were in the fable; an the backgrounds and situations of some characters are completely different." ~Jayden-G

1. Cinderella

It's not difficult to see why cinderela won this countdown. All of the main plot elements are still present in the movie, and the only real addition was the talking animals. disney left out a couple of the mais gory parts, but for the most part everything else is there. For reference, you can find a summary of the original tale here: link

"Making the stepsisters physically ugly is a pretty big change, one which totally screwed up the perception of the fairy tale." ~Swanpride
"There is little to no difference in Cinderella." ~Jayden-G

And so this concludes my first countdown! Hugs to everyone who participated. <3 Comment your thoughts, and I'll start another countdown soon. :)

As the five princesses arrived at their new destination, Belle opened her eyes in shock. “I have never seen such a beautiful place.”
Where they arrived at was a beautiful, heavily wooded area with no buildings at all. The area looked to be completely natural, and there were beautiful skies, swirling winds, and a gorgeous waterfall.
“And what type of princess is supposed to be here?” jasmim asked. “Let’s go investigate, shall we?”
The others nodded in agreement. cinderela soon though,...

Ariel and Aurora turned around and found a man with bulging muscles, an evil grin, black hair, and a very arrogant and intense expression. He smiled at them, and he told them, “Hello, girls, what are your names?”
“Oh…my name’s Aurora,” Aurora told him.
    “I am Ariel,” Ariel answered.
“So, those are your names. Now let me introduce myself. My name is Gaston,” the man replied. “The only thing is, I can’t tell you which one of you is better…” Gaston took out a gun, and then abruptly...

Princess ervilha was not your ordinary princess. She was not sweet. She was not all that graceful. In fact, her own royal subjects really couldn't stand her. You see, the thing you have to understand about ervilha was that she didn't know she was obnoxious. She considered it helpful on her part to ask her royal advisor if he's ever considered going on a diet. She thought she was being considerate to imply that the visiting duchess smelled like a sweaty armpit in July. Quite truthfully, Princess ervilha had never known a world where people told her she couldn't do something. Everyone always seemed to sit...

I was on youtube recently link]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mx1MmY1Bb50 (If you go down to the 60 replies). Someone thought Belle didn't have a job (and the triplets did) because she had enough 'free time to read and became delusional about life in 'poor provincial town' (not my words). The exactly wording of what the user said was "I'm wondering that Belle are doing then even those triplets have their own jobs and responsibilities. Maybe idleness made her delusional? That life can be found outside of her town? " I pointed out that in historical speaking in those times women were...

A lot of people on fanpop say that Merida is selfish and not not a good role model. Personally, I think that is far from the truth.

Merida wasn't being totally selfish when she went to the witch. Impulsive, yes. Her mind was clouded por all the emotion she felt and acted before she thought things through. When she asked for a potion that would change her mother, I think she wanted something to change her mothers MIND. Not her personality.
I think Merida is actually quite selfless. When her plan to change her mother went awry, she didn't even hesitate to help her mom. She went totally out of...

So yeah, there's gonna be spoilers, so if you haven't watched it I recommend leaving now. BYE! Anyway, in this review I'll go over the characters, soundtrack, animation, and story line. This review is probably gonna be really positive since I absolutely loved the movie, but I'll try and keep a level head and give some of the bad points in this review as well. So lets get started!

The Characters

Let's start off with the most important thing to me, the characters. A movie's plot can be terrible, but if I'm with a great character during that time, I can endure it, and Frozen's characters definitely...

Since the last time I wrote this artigo my list has changed a bit and I also decided to write this artigo again so that I could include Anna and Elsa. Also want to point out none of these screencaps are from disneyscreencaps.com, I found them on disney Wiki so I don't know their original sources

13. Tiana

I like Tiana despite having her as my least favorito disney Princess, but she's a person that I'm not striving after being mais like and of course I can't relate to her at all except we both have a passion for food, other than that we're each others opposites and I find Tiana too realistic...

Forgive me, my fellow Fanpoppers for the out of character Eugene/Flynn in this poem, but I hope the sheer amount of fluffy Raflynnzel is enough to satisfy you.

The poem is all in Flynn's perspective. It's just about all the things he loves about Rapunzel and about them. Hope you like it and if you didn't, criticism is warmly welcomed! Please leave some comments below! Also, any ideas for a proper title? :)

Caution: FLUFF ENSUES. IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE FLUFF, STEP OUT OF THE FICTION.

I just had this crazy idea - In the seguinte months, I'll write a series of 8 artigos (well, I'll continue only if you like them, of course). The first 7 artigos will be about separate aspects of the DP filmes (Score, princess, couple, screenplay, villain, sidekicks and animation/art), and in the final artigo I'll make the average of the grades I gave the filmes in each aspect and make my favorito DP filmes list = )

The first artigo is about the scores! Enjoy =D BTW, all the pictures I used feature my favorito song from each movie.

10. Cinderella - 7,0

It sure has a lot of nice songs –...

How is it that my list, besides numbers 1-3, is constantly changing? I amor them all, just some mais than others. Yet everytime I rewatch one of their movies, it's like seeing them for the very first time. And of course I am a woman, and we are known for always changing our mind ;) Anyways, here is my updated favorito Princess list.

9. Aurora
She used to be my 7th favorite, now she is 9th. It doesn't mean I amor her any less; it basically boils down to the fact that I just want to see mais of her. Anytime I watch Sleeping Beauty, I'm always skipping to the parts with her in it, and before I know...

Decided that when I write my fan-fiction about Arista, that there would be a few new characters in it. I'm calling the story; Mermaid Tales. I want to use Ariel's sisters, as well as a few from the televisão series such as Urchin, Gabriella and Ollie, and Pearl. These are a few of the characters I came up with for the story.

Just pretend it's pink, okay? -_-U

Cory
Taken from "coral." Cory is one of Arista's friends. She's unbelievably bubbly and crazy but a very loyal friend. She loves the color rosa, -de-rosa and has a rosa, -de-rosa tail-fin and top. She often wears a pair of red starfish earrings. She...

You know, after a couple of years of loving disney princesses and learning to amor for them and even wish tht was my life, i have figured out a couple of things.
To my knowing ther is only 10 official princesses yet I beg to differ.
Snow White
Cinderella
Aurora
Belle
Ariel
Jasmine
Mulan
Pochantos
Tiana
Rupunzal
See, wht i think an offical princess is well.... well this is the definition of one
daughter of a king, or marries a son of a king
except they use monarch instead but still. So therefore 2 of those people on the list are actual not real princesses. The two would be mulan and Pochantos
The rest make...

I've already written an artigo about why I think the classic princesses are great role models, but now I wanted to write about their intelligence. The pesquisa about who the most intelligent classic princess was inspired me to write this, and I've just been in a composição literária mood in general. I won't be ranking them, just giving the reasons as to why I believe they're intelligent. So I hope you all enjoy this article!! Let's get started!

Snow White

Snow White is often painted as the dumbest of the three, namely because of her eating of the apple. First off, being naive doesn't necessarily mean not...
