1) Was Amber and Hei a couple back then or it was just Amber who was in love? 2) In OVA ep3 Hei asks that guy "why Yin" and the other guy told him that he(Hei) forgot what did he meant por that?

Hei did not amor Amber. However Amber could have possibly loved Hei but it is hard to say as They only met up in season 1 to stop the group attempting to kill all Contractors!
