About that essay contest mentioned in 516 did dan actually go there?why? He didn't like her or care about Blair her in S1? Right?

The Writers said that Essay Competition was actually IN an episode (it would have been between 1x12 and 1x13) but it got canceled because of the writers strike back then. also featured in this episode would have been Dan & Blair seeling sausages.

They also said he went there because he felt sorry for her and because he is a good person. And you could already see that he does NOT hate her back in 1x04. he hated what she stood for, but never Blair herself.
