First of all the 1800 scenario helps a lot, along with Damon’s rebel soul, Katherine’s past and above all her vampire “situation”.

This won’t be pretty for Steferine shippers, but Stefan/Katherine has no bases to be a ralationship like DK

Their bases are: SELFISH REASONS: Stefan wanted her just because of her laugh and oliva, verde-oliva skin and above all because he knew NOTHING about her, when he saw HER for what she truly was ,he was DISGUSTED and all he does since 1864 is judge her.. All the time they spent together Stefan was compelled. Proof is that HE BETRAYED HER and then helped her just because of Damon. He was killed for the amor of his brother (as always) not for his amor for Katherine, instead with Damon IT WAS ALWAYS KATHERINE. I believe Stefan wanted to win Katherine because he felt inferior to Damon at that point, even if Damon at the same time was jealous of him, because he was the good one, THE LOVED ONE. Damon loved her from the start , he never ever judged her, betrayed her, the only thing he ever did was amor her passionately. In the books he actually drives a sword through Stefan’s coração because of her death. And in the show he can’t help but hate Stefan for taking her away from him Stefan: “KATHERINE IS DEAD, YOU HATE ME BECAUSE YOU LOVED HER, AND YOU TORTURE ME BECAUSE YOU STILL DO. AND THAT MY BROTHER IS YOUR HUMANITY”

He spent 150 years mourning her death, missing her,loving her, trying to get her back.

He accepted her for what she truly was, he chose to become a vampire and live forever with her, drinking blood even when he was scared about that world.. THEY ARE LIKE BELLA AND EDWARD, EXCEPT HE IS BELLA, HOW ROMANTIC IS THAT? *o*

Nothing means mais to him than Katherine.

After the whole season two, and delena and steferine, before dying he was still haunted por her, hallucinating, choosing her, promising her. And she wouldn’t let him die, even if she said for the whole show she cares only for herself.

He wants so bad to kill his feeling to even kill her. But he just CAN’T..
