+ but I find this horrible that you are that driven by money and blinded by it, that you will destory a series that is popular amoung the youth. Being part of the youth myself, I feel it's an insult that you could automatically assume I want another cheesy ending just like Twilight, because you think that's the ending that will make more money.

Okay, this is my email overall if you are going to read it LOL.

I am a big fan of LJ Smith's book series "The Vampire Diaries" and it has come to my attention that you have been pressurising the author into making Stefan and Elena as end game. I just wanted to say I think it's a big mistake to do this as not only is the Damon and Elena fanbase BIGGER, but also you will be losing customers who will buy the book than gaining them; we want an ending that the author sees fit, otherwise we will be able to see how much she isn't passionate about the ending. LJ Smith is the person that made these books really popular and she needs to be the one to finish the series. Trying to force her to make an ending she doesn't like just so you can make more money is disgusting and I for one won't be reading anymore books that are published by you if the ending was because of what you wanted instead of the author's own wishes.

Don't you think more people will buy the books if LJ Smith chose the ending? Wouldn't people feel the ending is more believeable? Lastly, I ask you politely to take my email into consideration and start thinking about what the fans actually want. I don't want some soulless book written to please the editors rather than the readers. I want a book to look back on and think "wow." I don't have to like the ending, because as you should be aware, there are so many endings possible in this series; however, if the ending I don't want happens because the author feels it isn't right, I can respect that because the series, is after all hers. I want you to remember that the next time you consider putting your wishes above the reader's.

Agree completely with your email Kaie. I cant believe the editors are pressuring her to write the ending of the book a certain way. It's her book, she should be able to choose the ending!

You can buy The Forbidden Game ring online, but it's like $700. :(

I'm probably still buying the book, but it's really a shame that L.J. is giving in to the pressure of her publishers. It's really making me lose respect for her for allowing herself to go along with whatever they want and say. I guess we all now know why the quality of her books has gone downhill since she started writing again... it's because it's not actually her writing.

I'm just hoping KW and JP don't make the mistake of having Stefan & Elena endgame in the show like they probably will be in the books. I have faith in them that they won't completely sell out like that!

hey guys, i was thinking what if all that publishers-forcing-me-to-do-stelana, is just a lame excuse? perhaps she wants us to blame the publishers and not her?

she also mentioned changing the ending.
so what if she actually made delena endgame and they said it would be better if it was stelena? perhas that's the case
