really??? the show couldn't have just ended with that being ELENA!! they had to make it katherine. I am not happy

It really burns me knowing that Damon 'unburdened his soul' in good faith - when she wasn't there, never mind that it was Katherine he was kissing. KATHERINE!!! Urgh! But let's look to the future: a real Damon/Elena kiss will be so hot, the TV will burst into flames. I mean, come on, the writers owe us big time for pulling a stunt like this.

But remember we do have abou 4/5/6 seasons of VD to go :) Plenty of time for all that, if everything happens now, then there will be nothing left for Delena and they would end up like Stelena, with no interesting storylines left.

amazing comment! yes, it also hurts me so much that he opened himself and Elena didn't hear it! I if she did maybe she would think of Damon a little bit differently.

Katie15 - hopefully there will be at least 5 seasons total, and nobody wants DE rushed, so of course it makes sense to wait, but at the same time, I don't think one kiss at the end of 22 episodes would have harmed their future relationship much. The writers could have spun it out through the segundo season, with Elena struggling with her feelings for Damon. She would possibly deny that she felt anything towards him to Stefan. Anyhow, I don't think there is any chance that DE will end up like Stelena. It's not possible! Ian and Nina have the best chemistry and Damon is much mais exciting than Stefan.

I'm glad that there first kiss will probably be in season 2. It makes things mais spread out for them.

i agree but in the writer's point of view this situation creates mais drama to the story.Damon's wound is bound to be reopened por katherine and if that happens it will create a deeper understanding between Damon and Elena and Elena will heal that wound, then Katherine will be forgotten and we will have an official Delena. besides it was a twist that we never would have saw coming thus creating suspence

I agree with all of you!!! Damon is going to be coração broken ( once again) nad then Delena will happen meaning that Elena will cure Damons broken coração (once again)!!! YAY DELENA 4EVER!!!

Naturally, we all want Damon to save Elena, swear his undying amor to her and kick Katherine out of town, but I'm worried that the writers might have something else in mind. If Katherine drives DE together, then that's fine. If, on the other hand, she's only there to create a rift/damage to DE then I will be mad. I don't even want to think about some of the stuff that could happen. I'm not worried that DE will become boring like Stelena or 'rushed' - I'm concerned that the writers don't have a definite time frame and 'strike while the iron is hot', so to speak. It IS possible to cause mais harm than good por stringing romantic intrigue out indefinitely. Because you're desperate for a couple to get together, and the writers keep throwing you tantalising glimpses that seem to promise how awesome they would be together, but if the writers keep creating an endless array of problems and drama, it takes the enjoyment away. So, while I'm happy with waiting, as long as I don't have to wait TOO long. I expect great things seguinte season. I hope the writers can deliver.

i agree with u at some level. i hope so too. and honestly i really don't think they'll let us down, i mean these writers are amazing and they know how far to push us. imean they put somuch in just one season, we can expect some amazing and terrifying things for seguinte season and hopeful the season after that. xoxo
