I'm Convinced Twilight's Problematic

cassie-1-2-3 I think Twilight is the furthest thing from erotic. I think all the labeling is stupid and rude. Just because of that, this entire argument is difficult to take seriously. People who speak like this make me giggle. Also, the complete lack of explanation of support from the story.

Dragonclaws Saying someone's manner of speech makes you giggle is a clear expression of disrespect, intending to humiliate the other person while you assert superiority. I never thought of defending the assertion that Twilight is an erotic novel because it seems as obvious as understanding Treasure Island as an adventure story, Panic Room as a thriller, and Fahrenheit 9/11 as anti-Bush--or do I need examples to assert those positions as well?

cassie-1-2-3 I wasn't making fun of anyone's speech either. It is true that I find all social justice lobbyist terminology to be silly. Ultra feminist or otherwise. I'm not trying to say I'm superior. It's just my opinion, it shouldn't hold that much weight, as this doesn't hold much weight with me. What I meant by lack of support is that statements are made, with the implication that's it's all obviously true. There's no explanation as to why any of this is true. It just is... There's no "For example... this and that", plus, there would need to be an actual connection drawn to what is said, and the story.
