Critical Analysis of Twilight Pergunta

What did you think of the New Moon movie?

I saw New Moon and thought it was actually alright. The cheesy bits were pretty much the only bad thing, and they were so bad that they were hilariously funny and therefore good.

I also really loved the soundtrack.

But what did you think?

Critical Analysis of Twilight Respostas

Being a fã of the books, I thought they did a terrible job portraying the relationship between Edward and Bella. They aren't staying true to the books as much as I would like. Although, it's understood that it will not translate exactly from the book to screen.

The problem I had with the movie was how Jacob was portrayed. I think Taylor is a great Jacob. I'm not belittling him as Jacob. His acting, everyone's atuação can improve. But, his character wasn't the character in the book. Yes, Jacob is heart-broken in the book. I can understand that. And alot of people sympathize for him. But in the movie, they showed him as this crying cachorro, filhote de cachorro and they left Edward and Bella's relationship hanging.

In the beginning of the movie, Edward and Bella's relationship was perfect. There were light moments, just like in the books. When he leaves to protect her, it breaks their physical relationship. Though, it doesn't break their bond, their amor for each other. Their scenes towards the end of the movie, Italy and post-Italy, were very rushed. The film failed to re-established their relationship. In the books, they talked about why he did what he did and how he hated himself for it. And, they did cover that in the movie, they could have taken mais time to explain it better, to better portray the feeling in the book.

I liked the end, but they could have stayed closer to the book if they didn't have that certain cliff hanger. They could have added a different scene with Victoria, which I know they filmed (it's a deleted scene).

In the book, she told Jacob, once they returned from the "vote" that "It will be him. It's always been him." Then her and Edward return to her house, and there they make arrangements for her mmortality and he proposes.

As a cliffhanger, they could have added a Victoria scene that was in the original draft. It wouldn't have left Victoria's whereabouts hanging and it could have stayed closer to the book. They could have avoided the whole "Edward proposing to Bella in the woods". How romantic. Lol

You make a lot of great points. I couldn’t agree with you mais about Jacob. But I think they did that intentionally to get people to like him more. I wish there had been mais light Edward and Bella moments, or at least for the characters to seem happy to be with each other. I agree that they should have put mais time into the post Italy scenes. It really needed mais time to portray the emotions that the characters would be feeling. And the really shouldn’t have ended on the proposal. It was just so corny, everybody in my cinema cracked up laughing =P

I'm glad you agree with the Jacob. Summit, as we all know, is trying to mil every penny. No one had heard or was familiar with Summit Entertainment until Twilight broke out. The fãs before the movies, the majority was Team Edward. They are trying to appeal to the crowd with abs to pull new fãs to Team Jacob to raise mais "butting heads", thus resulting in mais merchandise sales so those fãs can show what "team" they are on. That's the main problems I have with the movies. They are trying to appeal to the audience with half naked men waltzing around, yet they fail to tell the story of the coração of the story, Bella and Edward. They could have easily avoided Jacob being in some scenes, such as the parking lot, with him being there to present Bella with a b-day present. No where in the books did Jacob acknowledge Bella's birthday. They could have easily avoided him being in some scenes. It further adds to the logic that Summit could possibly be trying to stir dispute in the fandom. Like there wasn't enough to begin with! lol And there were alot of corny moments. I liked the movie. It was enjoyable, but as a fã of the books, of course I will have some critique :)
