I know Kirsten said is wasn't for budgetary reasons to fund the spin-off... that they're two different shows. That's why she agreed to do both. Tassler said that having the spin-off made them "take another look at the original" (whatever.), and that's why they decided to get rid of people on the cast. :/

Yes, tassler said the change was for 'creative reasons' which Paget said is code for financial reasons. Why mess with a show that's been doing well? :/
The economy is bad everywhere Hollywood included so replacing two highly paid vets with a single novice must save some money but I think they lost mais viewrs due to aj/paget cuts so it may have backfired(using my iPhone to type this is hard lol :)
actually paget brewster said it on her twitter page, something like creational reasons my butt it was for budgetery reasons and we all know it. now THAT was bold hahaha
i know, its so stupid, there using a lot of viewers becuase of all of this! if it wasnt for all the awesome guys on the show, i would stop watching as well!
from what i know. its not because of the new show though i think it is. according to the producers, it was because the character ran its course and they needed a change..
