The pain was excruciating. His head felt light and fuzzy and the rest of him felt like it had been mauled por a tiger. He stumbled to his feet, almost slamming back to the ground. The wide-eyed Syndicate members simply stared, unsure of what to do.

'Vicious is dead. I suggest you select someone smarter and less 'vicious' as your new boss. I'm not doing it.'

They dissipated, unwilling to try and mess with the guy that had supposedly killed Vicious.

Spike managed to get to the door. His eyes blurred and he though he saw... Faye?

What...?

'Look who it is, Jet. He's arisen from the dead...'

The other figure spoke, too. 'I'm not surprised... Every time I think he's finally gone, the bastard just shows up again. He must be planning to ruin my ship again.'

'...Guys... Help me...' Then Spike collapsed again, his body hitting the cold, hard concrete.

-An hora later-

Spike woke up.

'Where am I? Am I dead, or am I onboard the Bebop?'

Jet returned. He seemed to be in a good mood and brung Spike some comida - noodles in a bowl, with beef and spices.

'I don't know why I'm feeding ya. Because of you, the ship is stuck here until we can repair it. Obviously, you're in no shape to pitch in. Typical Spike... So, why didn't you die? Isn't that what you wanted?'

Spike grinned. 'Nah... I got messed up, though. That bastard Vicious was a real cowboy...'

'You always seem to attract enemies like that, don't you, Spike...' Faye appeared.

'Look what the cat dragged in...'

Faye yelled at him. 'Grrrr... I should be saying that to you!'

'Alright, alright... Shut up. I'm going to go and start repairing the ship. Faye, you watch over Spike for a bit. Once I have found all of the major damage and determined what we'll need to fix it, I'll send you to pick those parts up, while I fix anything that can be fixed now. If everything goes well, we might not have to wait around here for too long.'

'Why do I have to do it?' Faye demanded.

'Because you have no mechanical aptitude and I don't want to be waiting on this desolate planet forever.'

Spike sat up, wincing with pain. 'I can help, too.'

'No, you can't... You aren't exactly mechanically-minded, either...'

'Whatever...'
