Why does Clopin have a hat on all the time? It's cool and all but sometimes It's annoying. It hides his awsomely hot face! -2008Clopin

Maybe that hat is very special to him. It might've belonged to someone he loved dearly but lost in the past. Like maybe his father? And Clopin wants to keep wearing the hat because it's so special to him and he doesn't want to lose it.
And maybe it might also have something to do with the way he looks. I don't know. But,either way,I think he's absolutely adorable. ^^

a)clopin wears the hat for the same reason esmarelda wears the saia with coins on it, so it's easier for the animators, to avoid confusion and to create a simple character
b)clopin really isn't that good looking.

He is probably really shy about the fact that he's losing his hair. The idea of him being shy about anything is adorable.

To be blunt? He's balding.

this is the hat of his father, and it's like the crown of King of the Gypsies.
