I was like, "This will be a dangerous fandom,... they probably won´t do it...", they did and I was amazed and in amor por their love<3! Still I am not disappointed por them, they had unique and powerful moments and for me their amor will never die! Posted over a year ago

As for the other most-talked-about scene, the death of Brody (Damian Lewis), Patinkin doesn’t expect it to be an absolute end. “I believe he died,” Patinkin stressed. “There’s no doubt about it. But I wouldn’t doubt if we see him in dream form. He was the amor of Carrie’s life. And the father of her child. How could she not think about him?”

For those who thing this spot will die (just because Brody is dead), feel free to think otherwise. His memory with Carrie lives here and thank Damian Lewis for making his character unbelieveble good. So good that I as true believer in their love, I am not giving up on them. Even if their only hope now is their baby to be born!

A bit of context, for those unfamiliar with the term: Shipping is short for "relationship." Some devoted fãs of certain shows start hoping for two characters to get together romantically, and if you're in favor of a particular hookup, you're said to be "shipping" that pair. Posted over a year ago
drewjoana commented…
There's nothing intrinsically wrong with shipping: Many shippers have fun with their fixations and enjoy communing with like-minded souls, and sometimes, those fãs even get to see their preferred ships on screen. Sometimes those on-screen pairings work out, sometimes they don't, and some ships never set sail on screen, but the impulse toward shipping is understandable. Who hasn't spent a bit of time sonhar acordado about what would happen if two well-drawn characters had an Epic Romance? Part of the fun of a good story can be extending it and embroidering it in our brains. over a year ago
drewjoana commented…
That's my long way of saying, boy, am I sorry "Homeland" shipped Carrie-Brody so obsessively and relentlessly. That fixation drove off, consumed or sublimated a lot of the things that made the drama so potent in the first place. over a year ago

There is no way I can ever find a couple that compares to Carrie & Brody. them being endgame was at best a long shot, and I was kinda expecting a tragic ending for their story. It was the actors fault for being to good, at the imense chemistry and the scenes they share. A lot of fãs are pissed about killing him and I totally understand, he was half the show and we were so invested it this amor story but as I said it was time to say goodbye, we even got an extra season of their love, seeing as he was supposed to die in s2. so that's my rant, their story is unique and I will always amor them over a year ago

One of the fascinating things that we’ve found in discussing Carrie’s pregnancy is that she didn’t really believe it until she was 14 weeks pregnant, at which point things becomes a lot realer and the decision becomes a lot mais difficult to terminate. And there’s the fact the man she loves is out there and missing. And since this is a part of him, I think it makes it doubly difficult to terminate. Posted over a year ago
drewjoana commented…
I’m going to wait for people to watch the last couple episodes because the pregnancy does factor in. We all welcome the debate about what Carrie would or would not do with that child, but I really believe it’s an open question. Some say she’s a careerist, others say she’s really in amor with Brody. It’s a real conundrum for her. And for us, it’s not melodramatic, it’s real. This is the stuff of life. People die, people fall in love, people have babies. To call it soap opera, or melodrama, it’s only in the way its handled. And I personally think we’ve handled the pregnancy in a very impressionistic way with a scene here or there. //Alex Gansa over a year ago

Question: Can you ever envision a time when Homeland won’t be about Carrie and/or Brody?

Gansa: I think that it’s an open question, but inevitably that’s going to happen. If you look at these two seasons, we’ve told a significant part of [the Carrie & Brody] story. If there’s a chapter 3, it’s going to have to be a reinvention of some kind. Carrie and Saul trying to keep the world safe. Posted over a year ago

The only way to make that happen was to off these two antagonists.” Posted over a year ago

So we’ve sort of left the thriller aspects of the show behind and now we come to a very personal story about Carrie and Brody and all the obstacles that lie in the way of them being together. That is what the finale is about. It’s a real character study of these two people, where they’ve come from, how they regard each other, and whether or not there’s a future for them.” over a year ago

First: Brody is both in amor with Carrie and super-stressed out, stressed to the nervous-breakdown point. I had no problem believing that, upon seeing Carrie held captive por Abu Nazir, and hearing the voice of his brainwashing torturer tap into his most vulnerable lizard-brain instincts, that Brody would become panicked, frantic, eager to save Carrie, and kill in the name of Nazir’s dead son Issa.
