Buffy Relaunching Without Whedon, Gellar...Regard for Fans? 

Actually, it doesn't sound as bad as I was expecting- I kind of like the idea of seeing a different slayer. The time for a Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie has long been over IMO. But if they're just going to do a Vampire Slayer story, it's possible they could make it work. My only big issue is no Joss. :(

No Joss=No point, IMO.

This is kindof sickining, if Joss is not involved there will be none of the witty dialogue that made Buffy what it became. I have no problem with a vampire slayer movie, just dont try to make over something that was soo perfect for the money. I would prefer a reunion movie with the original characters, but that is just a sweet dream of mine. My thoughts are to leave Buffy alone if your not Joss.

Right now I'm just relieved that the movie isn't a continuation of the series. I freaked a little when I saw that they were making a movie. I don't see how it's going to feel like it's in the Buffyverse if none of the characters are in it and Sunnydale is a crater and Joss isn't involved. So I say whatever, do what you like, I'll decide if I'm going to see it later.

The theory going around is that the movie would focus on a different slayer but thats impossible. Mutant Enemy (Joss and all the other writers) hold the rights to the Slayer line past present and future EXCEPT for Buffy. This movie cant focus on any other Slayer except for Buffy and unless Joss gets involved it cant include any of the Sunnydale characters.
So once again I show disgust and pray they dont make it "Twilight-lite"

Did I read that right, they are going to set it in Sunnydale? Hmmmm.....I wonder how that is going to work. And I am one of the few people who actually like the original movie, but I don't want to see her make a mess of it all over again.

They should just leave buffy alone lol with no joss and no original cast it would't be the same atall, although maybe thats the idea. I would watch it with it being vampire slayer movie and all, hopefully it would beat the stupid twilight hype lol i'm sick of that crap lol. Buffy had the original vampire and human forbidden love and good vampires lol, Buffy rules Twilight suckz lol
