This is all said por a wonderful Bamon shipper on the cw boards her username is ChloeMars and I felt like you guys needed to hear this:

Just out of curiosity, out of the people who "hate bonnie's power trip," who is NOT a Delena or at least a Damon fan? I find that most people who hate Bonnie hate her because she is the alpha female of the show, whether they like it or not. She's the chick who makes the decisions, and refuses to be told what to do por Damon or Stefan, who she doesn't trust. She steals Damon and Elena's thunder, and is constantly antagonizing Damon, and anyone who antagonizes Damon for some reason has to go.

Is bonnie on a power trip? Yes she is. And you know what? She has every right to be. Just because she's not afraid to stand up to people stronger than her, doesn't make her bad. She has an ability, and she's using it to defend the people she loves.

I'm curious. What do the bonnie haters want her to do? Should she sit back and let Damon do what he wants? Hide her powers and just watch the people she cares about get killed one por one? Should she watch people like Damon walk around like they own the town, killing whoever they want, and just sit back and say "Oh... you really shouldn't do that. but since i'm a new witch and you're an old vampire, i'll just stand back and hide..."

Bonnie is a powerful, independant female who's not afraid to say whats on her mind, and isn't boy crazy enough to feed into Damon's cheep flirtatious tricks.

All that being said, I'll be the first to admit that Bonnie isn't perfect. She thinks she has way mais respostas than she actually does. The thing is, she's being forced to make decisions someone like her just shouldn't make, and she's doing the best she can. Keep in mind guys that she's still young and still learning, but exposing that vulnerablity to Damon and Katherine is like a death sentence, so she puts on a mask.

I happen to amor just how easily that mask falls away when she was with Matt and Caroline. She was all big and bad when she was telling Damon to give her his blood, that he would do it because she said so and because it was for Elena, and how he wouldn't get anything from her out of it. She gave him that evil eye and everything. Then when she came in later to talk to Matt, she looked so unsure if he actually would do it, or if it would work. Then when she walked in and started crying when she saw Caroline, it showed just how vulnerable she really was... that deep down she still was a scared girl who didn't want to lose her friend.

Then of course, in her very seguinte scene she was back to being bonnie the vampire slayer again. Which I loved.

Do i think bonnie thinks she's mais powerful than she actually is? I don't know, maybe. I do think that at the moment her bark is worse than her bite, but what else can she do right now? Let Damon do his thing? We see what happens when Damon gets free reign, people die. Still, Bonnie does need someone to show her that she isn't all powerful, that she does need help now and then, and I think that's going to happen sooner than we think.




Like I said, i do think that Bonnie might be a little high and mighty right now, and has no problem telling people what she can do, but what's wrong with that? She's just giving Damon and Stefan fair warning, so when they do screw up, and she lights their vampy butts on fire, nobody can say she was out of line. She gave them fair warning.

What annoys me though, is that people have no problem bashing Bonnie because she threatens Damon, but when Damon snaps Jeremy's neck, uses Caroline as a chew toy, attempts to kill Bonnie, stakes lexi, kills uncle john upon first meeting him, tricks Elena and Stefan into unleashing a tomb full of blood thirsty vampires, etc, BONNIE is a bad guy for being mean to HIM? can you blame bonnie fãs for fighting back? Can you blame her for constantly riding his butt making sure he doesn't mess up? Someone has to keep Damon in line, and Bonnie seems to be the only one up for the challenge.

All that stuff being said, I happen to like Damon. I understand where he's coming from, just like I understand where Bonnie is coming from. It's one of the reasons I like their dynamic.
Also, Damon fãs don't like that there's a female character that's not Elena, who isn't afraid of Damon, and builds up her own fair share of sexual tension.

The reason I get this impression, is because the reasoning they give for disliking Bonnie just doesn't make sense to me. Why can't she just get off her high horse and leave Damon alone? Obviously you're seeing the situation through Damon colored sunglasses. Why can't people take them off for a segundo and put on the Bonnie colored ones. You might see their world and the situation completely different.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with ships, in fact they are what makes shows like these so much fun. What i do hate is when people tear down a character, or bash the character just to build up their "ship." Personally, I'm a bamon shipper, obviously, but I won't sit and say how much i hate elena. Elena has made some mistakes, yes, but she is human, and she has flaws. I can look through her perspective and I see why she does the things she does. I can also acknowledge that Damon and Elena have great chemistry and play really well off of one another. I just like Bamon better, because of different reasons. I don't have to tear down a character, or bad mouth a ship just because mine isn't going the way i want it to.

While i'm not saying EVERY bonnie hater is a delena fan, i'm pretty confident when i say 90% of them are, and unfortunately most of them hate bonnie for the reasons stated above.
