Hey, ya'll. This is PeetaStark. And today I'll be reviewing the new show on disney XD, "Avengers Assemble". So, this show is taking the place of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, (let's take a moment of silence to mourn), and it's basically the movie in cartoon format. I loved how EMH was basically stepping out of the comic books, but Marvel is trying to cash in on the success of the filmes I guess, so here's our premis: We start with an already assembled, and then disassembled team. I thought this was smart 'cause, honestly? We don't need another origin story. Then the old team, (Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye) along with newcomer Falcon, have to stop Red Skull and Modok. The thing is, Iron Man leads the team. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm down with Tony leading, but not while Cap's around. That's his thing. Tony and falcão are tech, Hawkeye and Widow are spies, Thor and Hulk are the powerhouses, and Captain America's the leader. When you take that away from him, he's just not the same character. The animation's fine, although it switches from widescreen to fullscreen throughout each episode, which can be distracting. I wish they wouldn't have canceled EMH to put this on. I really enjoyed that show, and it had only been on for two or three years. So, is Avengers Assemble worth watching? It's actually a pretty enjoyable show, if you can ignore that it murdered EMH. Do I think it's too close to the movie? YES. I really do. If they had to cancelar EMH I would've liked to seen a different roster. Maybe Secret Avengers? So, that's my review of Avengers Assemble.
