I think he would be the best choice for it because Iroh went thought what Zuko went though and helped him so he should do the same for Azula. If not him than a love interest. Ursa would probably be a bad choice, considering she's one of the reasons she became the way she is.

It makes sense like Katarlover said now Zuko can take what he learned and help someone else.

I know Mai isn't a very expressive "tell me your feelings" type of person... but Azula isn't the type to bear her soul much either. I can see this working because Mai would be the type to observe, listen, and honestly tell her how it is, which is what Azula needs. And Mai already stood up to her and since she's with Zuko she'll be that bridge between family and friend. Like the outsider of the main family but also family in a way; sister-in-law (does that make any sense? lol)

I think Azula needs someone who will listen but also give her words of encouragement and at the right moments, be blunt with her. So I think Zuko would be perfect for that because he's have years of experience from his uncle. If Azula speaks harsh to him it will be like how Zuko spoke cruely to his uncle. It's like the same way when people have kids, they have kids that are just like how they were as kids, except worse. Just my opinion. I know Mai cared about Azula and it bugs me that she betrayed her childhood friend for her boyfriend she had only been dating a few months that broke her heart with a letter. So I'm not sure Mai is the best person to be her Iroh. Ty Lee could but she wouldn't really understand her like Zuko would.

True I could see Zuko being able to help her as well and know probably the best out of everyone, where she is coming from. And since he was saved by the wisdom of his uncle, he could pass that down to her. Mai ended up betraying her because she clearly could see that Azula had went too far and needed to be stopped. Yeah it mainly was because of her love for Zuko but it was also to keep Azula for doing anything else more crazy that would hurt her even more in the future. I guess what Mai wouldn't be good at is giving her the wisdom and advice Azula would need, that's where Zuko or Iroh would be better. Mai doesn't really have any deep wisdom to pass on and share with her. She would be more of a support. I just can't see her listening to anything Iroh (her foolish betraying uncle) or to Zuko (her weak, disowned brother) would say.

Maybe redemption for Azula would be best in a tag-team effort? Mai and Zuko

I don't know about Ty Lee. She is stupid but she does have Iroh's optimism about what's good in the world. If only she wasn't so dimwitted.
