'Merlin': 'The Dark Tower' spoiler-free review

After the magical dilemma presented por 'The Disir', it is very much back to the dia job for Merlin and crew this week. With this episode from series co-creator Julian Jones, the story will clearly has implications for the series’ ongoing arc.

We begin with Gwen and Elyan, who have ridden out to lay flores on their father’s unmarked grave. On their return the party encounter a trap and in fleeing from the scene Gwen is abducted. With Arthur bereft and the Knights in shock, especially Elyan who feels entirely responsible, they ride out to rescue...

Gwen sits, awe struck, opposite Uther. Beside her Arthur is calmly leaning against the chair, his fingers locked with hers, gently caressing. His touch calms her senses but they do nothing to her racing heartbeats. Gwen expected this when she agreed to cadastrar-se Uther for jantar but what she didn’t anticipate is the kindness Uther been showering her and Arthur since their arrival. This is a totally renewed Uther Pendragon. Arthur is right after all. His father did turn over a new leaf. How come Merlin didn’t see this? Gwen hasn’t really known Uther in detail but...

Guinevere stands, a estrela cut roughly from parchment clutched in her hand. Where the devil is this one telling me to go?
She puzzles over it, remembering Arthur’s early departure from jantar just a short time ago. Merlin had come in, muttered something quietly in the king’s ear – in his ear furthest from her – and he stood with an “excuse me, please,” and left.
    Crafty devil.
She ponders the star, turning it over as if the back of it will reveal its secrets,...

“Guinevere?” Arthur is stunned por Gwen’s presence. His coração hammers like a raging beast in his rib cage. His knees wobble just at the sound of her voice. It isn’t surprise; she always had this sort of impact on him. Gwaine is dumbfounded, too, but he just smiles at her. Beside Gwen, Merlin snickers silently.
“Hello Arthur, Gwaine,” Gwen greets both the men, her arms folded across her chest, eyes on them.
    “Hmm, hello, Gwen,” Gwaine replies.
“I didn’t know you were here,”...

I'm opening up "The Game" to reader requests. If there's someplace you want me to put our bebês and make them do naughty things, PM me.

However, I have rules, of course:
1. It must be interesting.
2. It must be meaningful.
3. It must be within their "world." No A/Us will be considered for this one.

And don't forget, it needs to be a place for which one of the pair can leave a hint for the other to find. So Spontaneous Acts of Lust cannot be considered, sorry.

I am very particular, as most of you already know, so I reserve the right to select the ones that appeal to me. If you send me one and I do not use it, do not be offended. There's a chance I may yet get to it. If I don't, sorry.

I promise I will give credit where due, and if mais than one person sends me the same idea, I will credit all names.

So get crackin'. If you want more, you gotta help me out!

amor you all,

Arthur yawns and motions for the servant to fill his goblet. The comida on his plate is still untouched. He isn’t hungry; in fact he is bored and beside him, his father is enjoying himself with his council members. He looks beyond his father and notices his step mother is engaged with her own group of friends. Sighing, Arthur rues why he agreed to cadastrar-se the feast in the first place. He didn’t want to disappoint his mother even though he knows how boring feasts like this are. And now he wishes he hadn’t promised her. He could be elsewhere right now, enjoying the...

So: There are going to be some difficult and dark parts in here. There will be things you may not enjoy reading. There may be some things you will HATE reading. All I ask is that you trust me and stick with me. Don’t kill me. See it through. I promise it will all be okay. Okay? Okay.

-Guinevere-

“You have suffered much for one so young,” Helios says, seemingly sympathetic to Gwen’s fabricated tale of a murdered family and her flight. “Now those days are truly behind you,” he adds decisively, lifting his goblet to his lips. He drinks, eyeing her appreciatively...

Arthur slipped quietly out of the castle, wearing his familiar ‘incognito cloak’ over his white shirt. He had first worn it when hiding out at Guinevere’s house during the Tourney, the first time he realised how much he felt for her and the first time he had kissed her sweet lips. Since then there had been many a visit to her house in the dead of night. He had been stopped and challenged many times por the guards, until they grew to recognise his cloak.

As he made his way the short distance the moon was full.

He tapped on her door gently, a familiar combination of taps which she knew. As...

•The Druids make an appearance and I amor them.

•The introduction of the Treiskelion (Celtic Symbol) it is about progressivo, para a frente motion (mankind’s that is). It is a dynamic symbol of growth, progression, war before tranquility…back to the darkest hora theme.

It is also the ancient symbol of the Trinity lolol. If you interpret it spiritually: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. If you do so symbolically: Love, Intellect, Power.

“It is always darkest just before the dia dawneth.”

This phrase often ascribed to the English Theologian Fuller is so apropos for this episode thematically. We partook of said dark hora tonight and it was glorious. Not because of magical beasts ie hormonally imbalanced rodents of the dentally challenged variety, with strong affections for Sir Gwaine, but because it spoke to the coração of compassion, those who actually have it and those who don’t; those who are selfless and those who are selfless; those who have courage and those who snip and bite at wounds in a roundabout way like what...

Our hearts and condolences go out to the people of Norway at this tragic time with the killing of 90 people, mostly young teenagers enjoying a camping trip as well as those killed in the bombing in the capital, Oslo.

I hope we can all pray for them and hope that we can avoid such tragedies in the future.

Also, the sad death of Amy Winehouse, a promising young singer of only 27 years old. A sad but inevitable death due to her unfortunate addictions. She was a great singer and had so much to live for at her tender age but alas took the wrong path.

All in all, it has been a sad weekend in two Continents....

    “Arthur Pendragon.”
“Mr. Pendragon? My name is Keith Godwin. I was given a somewhat illuminating message yesterday…”
“Ah, yes, Mr. Godwin. I have some information that you might find very illuminating,” Arthur says, leaning back in his chair. “What are your plans for this weekend, may I ask?”
Over lunch, Arthur’s phone rings again. “Arthur Pendragon,” he answers, his mouth full of hamburger.
“Arthur?” Percy’s hesitant voice greets him....

I just saw it with my fonte interruptions and am about to watch again, But we need to talk about our feelings and impressions. But OH! The visualização for seguinte week! What are we thinking about it???? Come here to talk after the episode.

I don't know how I feel about Merlin in this episode, how was Arthur to you; I think he was feeling the loss of Guinevere, am I right? The bracelet wasn't discovered! I cannot believe it; we were sure it would be. I don't quite know what to think at this point and once again, need to hear input from others on this.

I am especially all in a emotional state about the visualização for 4x11.

This weeks episode to me was OK (I did say good in some comments but the mais I see it, well, sorry I can't describe it any better than that.)

What worked for me:
-Uther admitting that he always loved Arthur

-Uther wanting to attend his sons “anniversary of your birth” (I amor that saying) this scene to me meant that Uther was improving as well

-Gwens reaction to the faca throwing amor her facial expressions and cocky Arthur

-love the little banter between Arthur and Merlin re trousers down past his knees

-The sword fight between Uther and the assassin

-The brilliant scene between Uther &...

Guinevere stood in the doorway of their shared chambers silently contemplating her husband. He stood staring blankly out the window, unaware of her observance. The young princess was considering the best way to approach and comfort him. Knowing him as she did, she was aware he would attempt to convince everyone, including her, that he was fine. But she knew better than most what it meant to lose a parent. She had endured both her mother’s death and that of her father.

No one was ever completely ready to say goodbye and Gwen knew Arthur was no exception to this. Yes his relationship with Uther...

To Whom it May Concern:

I have been watching “Merlin” since the beginning, and have enjoyed it immensely. It’s good entertainment, with a compelling cast of characters and it is honest fun, fantasia escapism.

That being said, I am very disappointed in how King Arthur and queen Guinevere’s marriage has been depicted this series.

As a bit of background, I have been happily married for fourteen years, so my comments come from experience, not speculation.

Thus far we’ve seen them interact one-on-one a total of three times, and all three scenes have been very short and without much depth.

Ok this is really frustrating. Halfway through the season and we have had a kiss on the forehead 5x4, a cuddle with kiss on the head 5x5 and a cama scene 5x6. But where are the full on lip to lip kisses? I think this season needs to step it up on the Arwen moments because its the best part of the show and thats the main reason that I watch Merlin is the amor and chemestry between Arthur and Gwen.

I mean there are so many Arthur and Gwen fãs out there that you would think that the writers of Merlin would have added some mais scenes with them together. Seasons 2, 3, and 4 had mais Arwen then season 5. And Arthur and Gwen were not even married in those seasons. So what is going on here?? I am really confused on what is happening?

Please fill free to tell me what you think and your opinion on Arwen scenes for season 5
Just posting some of the points that they made:

"I don't even ship this but...

Here’s some Arthur/Gwen scenes that were weirdly absent from the 5th season so far (SPOILERS):

A goodbye between Arthur and Gwen before he leaves in Ep 1.

Gwen’s reaction to Arthur’s disappearance in Ep. 1.

Any sort of insight in how Gwen feels about being queen and Arthur’s wife now. (EVERY episode goes on and on about Arthur’s doubts about being king—Gwen should be going through something similar, shouldn’t she?)

A welcome início between Arthur and Gwen in Ep. 2.

A scene where Arthur at least tells Gwen what’s...
