Sharon said her son Bryce is truly a miracle child. “He was in a coma for 30 days with no brain or coração activity when he was nine years old,” she said. Just as his parents had given up hope, Bryce came back to life. His precarious condition was caused por type I diabetes with cerebral edema complications.
“His brain swelled and he needed a shunt,” said Sharon.
Now 12, Bryce is completely insulin dependent, requiring an insulin pump, strict diet, and activity restrictions to prevent bruising to his brain.
