April Young is a new character in Season Four. She is a 16-year-old girl who comes back to town and is originally from Mystic Falls, so she remembers Jeremy and Elena from their childhood. She's been away at a private school for the last few years. Elena, as a new vampire, thinks it's her job to keep her seguro from the sobrenatural secret of Mystic Falls. She decides to mover back to town for the funeral of her father, so she's grieving to begin with when she arrives.
As a young girl, April was babysat por Elena Gilbert. She was childhood friends with Jeremy Gilbert and Matt Donovan.
