It's overrated. I think it's trying to be Totoro with a different wonder style. It really disappointed me and it's doing so good apart from the U.S.A. It evoked too much nostalgia since it's the story of a 9-year-old third grader and her family and friends with a sad and disappointing ending that changed the movie. It's just not interesting and I almost turned it off. They're just kids, and it's annoying. Shinko is pretty bad, she is the worst part of the movie. She's just the cliched tomboy that could've been more appealing and a tad predictable. At least it had an ending that kind of turned things around.

I had to go get a Gyros and watch, that's how memorable it is.
