Here are my thoughts on the last three animê series I've watched:

Paradise kiss—This show is about a high school girl suddenly deciding to become a fashion model after joining up with some kids who could possibly be the wrong crowd. It has sexual content in it—not explicit visually, but por what is said. This is mais adult than my usual tastes; still, I liked watching the girl fall for the bad boy. Disc 2 is in my personal collection because they didn’t have it on Netflix (they just had discs one and three). Still, I don’t think I’ll buy the whole series. I may keep disc 2 just for the ending theme sequence, which is killer and features some well animated dancing. Then again, they have it on You Tube, so look out, disc 2, you may soon find yourself in a thrift store. But it’s probably my favorito animê ending sequence of all time.

Someday’s Dreamers—A country girl comes to the big city to learn how to be a mage. At first, this series was so mushy, I compared it to "Aria" and "Ai Yori Aoshi", but with a little mais angst. Then the final story arc took a turn into the dark side and the deepest recesses of the human soul. Yume wonders if being a mage, something she had been so excited to be, matters at all. Things work out alright, as Yume uses her special power to help her own teacher. Still, that darkness was getting overwhelming and feeling a bit too real.

Eden of the East: I keep wanting to call this "East of Eden", after the old James Dean flick. Actually, I’m not sure I should write a review of it until I see the follow-up movies, but it looks like that will take a while. Cute guy with amnesia meets cute Japanese girl, and intrigue follows. And a complicated plot. So complicated I won’t try to explain it all, because I don’t have a grip on it myself. It has something to do with special cell phones that allow access to millions of yen, and also cater to one's every whim. Our hero has one, and doesn’t remember why or what it’s for. He has to figure out all over again what to do with it. He finds out he’s a player in a game, and once he finds that out, he wants to win.
As opposed to serving up fã service por exposing the female characters’ panties, this one has fã service involving naked guys. Don’t worry, their “johnnies” are covered up por scratchy, white balls. Guess they ran out of fig, fig. leaves. Maybe I didn’t catch it, but I’m still not sure what all the nudity was for in the first place. One thing’s for sure, anything can happen in this anime. Some other oddities: a guy called “Panties” who stays locked up in his início because the wind blew his only pair of pants away, and a woman called a “johnny hunter” who abducts men and cuts off their, well, you know…
