Gurren Lagann has definitely one of the best endings I have ever watched as a long-time animê fã :)

No. I enjoyed it - I think that's what should have happened. I believe Another Epilogue also confirms that Otonashi becomes the new student president, too, which was what I was hoping for.

For Wolf's Rain I have to say though, to me I found its ending to be rather ambiguous
