Ohhhh so hard to post without giving things away... I won't say the first one I thought of because it's the plot twist of Zetsuen no Tempest, if you've seen it, you know who I am talking about! I can't even post who is the tragic hero from the series because it would give everything away but they do die.
But the one I am going to post is Amon from the movie "The Boy who Saw the Wind." If you haven't seen the movie I recommend it, it's got a different animation style and really make you think about the cost of war. It can be a bit confusing and aleatório sometimes but no geral, global I enjoyed it. Both of Amon's parents were killed and then when he finally finds peace somewhere, that is ripped away as well. I can't say too much without giving away the movie but the ending is both beautiful and tragic and Amon is a hero.
Lelouch Vi Britannia from Code Geass. His mother was "killed" when he was ten years old and his sister lost her sight and the ability to walk. After this, he was abandoned por his own country and left to fend for himself. Poor Lulu :(
Reasons: Light's intentions weren't bad, he wanted to vanquish the evil of the world, that's what makes him a 'hero'. His death was pretty tragic in my opinion, so there, a tragic hero,

Agreed. I kinda prefer Light over L, to be honest.
