Sorry, it's a video game but Okami literally is made of Japanese mythology.

I find this stuff so interesting so I really liked learning about it on my own. The animê itself doesn't tell you a lot of the background info on these characters it just has the characters as a base. But the personas fight so it's interesting to see their abilities. I recommend watching this animê (and I recommend the english dub version because the voices are perfect)

I am already very familiar as well as already know several of the deities and spirits in Japanese mythology but thanks very much anyway. Appreciate the additional info too. Yeah, I will when I get a chance :) And just like u I am also into myths and legends including the Japanese ones ^_^
