Ichigo, to a certain degree. He lied to Tatsuki, because he knew that she'd try and insist on helping, or something, even know she knows nothing about the Soul Society, let alone Hueco Mundo. Of course, I don't think I've really meet any characters that are exactly how you described.

Sounds like a super hero to me. Here's Tiger from Tiger and Bunny. Of course, he's not really going things alone, he does have a partner. He just keeps things from his daughter and other people he knows outside his job.
