There are a few questionable moments in it, but it doesn't matter in the long run. Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a really good one to check out if you like action and deep plots!
(If you're worried about it, there are a few swearing moments and there's a lot of fighting... I'm only putting this because you wanted PG anime. But just ignore it and let it go over your head. You'll be glad you gave it a try! :) )
