Did you prefer the animê or the manga?
Sometimes the animê & mangá vary greatly. Name all you want. You can say why or not. (I'll keep your suggestions in mind if I get around to leitura or watching them).
Mine:
*Slayers Revolution/Evolution R: The manga, because the animê is watered down for younger audiences & they skipped the whole plot point of Zelgadis temporarily turning against them. Kudos on getting the same English & Japanese voice cast from the 90s though.
*Excel Saga: The anime, because the mangá is mais ecchi & less funny. the two only seem to have characters n common, with completely different storylines. (I'm most interested in hearing about this kind of variation from you).
*Petshop of Horrors: The manga, because it goes on way longer & the animê didn't really capture the spirit of the series.
Kuroshitsuji: Tie. Season 2 of the animê went in a completely different direction, but I can tell that the mangaka had a big hand in the plot & characters.
GetBackers: animê for the first half, but the animê only covers half the series. Amps up the fanservice for girls & tones down the ecchi, which is ironic considering the mangá is an ecchi comedy. Damn good dub btw.
Gensoumaen Saiyuki: For the first season, the anime, because it's way funnier & has great voice atuação (the dub too). But seasons 2 & 3 switched demographics & just don't compare to the manga, especially in the art department.
Super Gals: Manga; the dub was poorly translated & the Japanese voice cast was pretty bad.
