That's because all the veteran animê fãs lost interest in the fandom when animê went mainstream. They were always complaining how new animê was cliche & low budget & pandered to the lowest common denominator. But once I get into something, I like to be a fã for life.

Fansubs were a pain in the bunda to get through mail. They were free but you had to pay quite a bit for shipping.

lol yeah my school biblioteca has mangá XD If you steal any books at my school you have to buy them and if you don't either buy or return them you can't graduate/go on to the seguinte grade. x3

Don't blame you for only downloading, Japanese CDs & DVDs are obscenely expencive; $11 for a single, $40 for an album, $60 for a DVD with only 3 episodes. & those prices were BEFORE the economy went to shit. I dont; even want to know how inflated they are now.
